That doesn’t make any sense.

Makes perfect sense to me. Read it slower.

Satan would come along with a better offer and make you sign your soul over to him. If God decreed it I would also wonder why he would concern himself with something so petty in a world full of human problems.

You are the snapshot photographer who claims everything you don't understand is as bad as your own photography that you admit has no value.

Look at my avatar. Lots of people who do know what they are looking at think it is one of the best Snowy Owl pictures they have ever seen. You have looked at it hundreds of times and had no clue! What a hoot!

Wow no humility in that comment amazing how arrogant some people are. Humble you self some or you won't fit through any doors. Utterly amazed by your ego and somewhat embarrassed for you.

I shoot HDR 95% of the time. Usually 5 bracketed shots. I see too many comments about "overdone" shots but from the artistic side it is all subjective. I try and keep things toned down for the most part and keep it as real as I can but every once in a while the image demands going wild.

HDR images can look like paintings more than Photographic images due to the dynamic range. The human eye sees in HDR so to speak and this is the best way ro mimic that in photography as art.

I use landscape pro to edit complex skies

I will second that. Landscape Pro is a very intuitive program and does a great job on the sky between branches. Affordable also.

That is beautiful, Duane. Only thing missing is the ducks.

The hunters scared them all off.

Love the picture! I grew up there...was you shot taken in North shore Machkintouch area....not sure of the spelling!? What do you thing of "Farmers Beach" area.

McIntosh Woods is correct I did not get around it too much as some hunters were out trying their luck. I need to get up there more during Sunrise and Sunset. It is an hour drive for me though. Thanks for looking.

My last posting is one of my favorites from this past weekend in Clear Lake Iowa. I loved the way the trees and water rushes framed the sunrise. Nikon D7100, f/8, Nikor 18-55mm @18mm, ISO100 5 shot HDR processed in Machinery HDR and Corel Paintshop Pro 2018.

Two weekends ago I raced the sunrise to get to Beed's Lake State park near Hampton Iowa to catch the sunrise. Loved the cloud pattern in the sky that morning. Nikon D7100 Tokina 11-16mm @11mm. f/8 ISO100 5 shot HDR processed in Machinery HDR and Corel Painshop Pro 2018.

Nikon D7100 f/8 ISO100 18-55 Nikor kit lens @ 30mm. 5 shots +2,+1,0,-1,-2 processed in Mechanics HDR fine tuned in Corel Paintshop Pro 2018. I was real pleased with the way this image turned out. My understanding of a forum is that when you post images you may receive a critique that you don’t agree with. So be it. If you don’t want feedback and if you only want glowing reports on your work, perhaps you should reconsider the decision to post.

I post to share. Some here are too quick at critiques.

... photo #1 is titled Autumn equinox and shows the sun rising down the middle of the road. Any history on that road? Was it intentionally built to go toward the fall (and spring) equinox sunrise? Does it follow property lines and did the original surveyor just pick that as his straight line starting point to block out all those property lines? Would be interesting to know....

Most roads in my part of Iowa run straight east west and north south. The land was divided up into 640 acres or a section (a sq mile) and land was then divided into and sold in 40,80,160 320, 640 lots. Most sections of land have these gravel roads all the way around them so Iowa has thousands of miles of gravel roads, the middle section of the state has the most in line to the compass directions. I can drive for hours on them and do lol. Hope this answers your question.
