Beautiful! A true answer to what is the speed of dark. You are, if you travel fast enough. Ha.

Ah, however, the question is not, what is the speed of light. The real question is "What Is The Speed Of Dark?" Since light travels at 300,000 kilometers/sec in a vacuum, then does dark travel at 300,000+5 k/s? I mean, there is a LOT of dark out there, and it seems that light has to push through. So, what is the speed of dark?

This is exactly the kind of school I went to from 1949 to 1953 in Western Kansas. We said the pledge of Allegiance every morning in our first class of the day. We were expected to observe just exactly those attitudes, and believe me, it wasn't just the teachers, it was our PARENTS! If we got into trouble at school, we would get whacked. Then we got WHACKED when we got home. After graduation, I went into the Air Force, stayed for 12 years, got out after getting my education, and started my own Technical Documentation Consultation business in technical writing. In the AF, my 4 years of high school seemed to be worth 2 years of GED college. Not so now.

Even though I am not a "Professional Photographer", I have had to do a lot of photo's to illustrate the manuals I worked on as a Technical Documentation Consultant (in that, I am a Professional - ha). I learned photography the hard way, starting at the age of 8, with my first camera, an old Kodak billows camera, on my father gave. It was a Kodak Autographic Junior. I believe it was made in about 1920 or so. That was in 1943! Man, I loved that camera! Thinking back, I am glad I had to learn that way, on the other hand, what I could have done with a DSLR! I even tried to take pictures of Jupiter and the moon, through my homemade telescope. I got some fuzzies, and was really proud of them. I use an eyepiece camera now.

Too Late. Already hooked, just like I have been hooked on photography ever since I got my first camera, a Kodak fold-out No 1 camera. Loved that thing. Got some great shots with it. Then there was the Practina Practa-flex camera, in Berlin, in the '50's. And on, and on, and on. Now it is the digital stuff.

As to all this, my usual answer is "You can't fix stupid."

Here is the real problem. Stupidity cannot be cured with money, nor through education, nor by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim cannot help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime; the sentence is death, there is no appeal, and execution id carried out automatically and without pity.

The universe is not moral. Nor is it cruel. It is simply harsh, lovely, beautiful, and deadly if you don't watch your behind.

Didn't see the other thread, new member, just found this thread.

If you don't have photo editing software, what did you use to get the picture from the camera to the computer, and what kind of computer do you have?

Micro$haft Windows usually has a very basic graphic editing program called Photo Editor. However, this was replaced in Office 2007 with Photo Manager, which is very limited in it's editing capability.

You can go on line, and download Photo Editor and install it. There are also free photo editing software packages. Make sure you run a virus detecting program on the download and installed program though.

Hope this helps.

As an ordained Christian Minister, all I have to say is Tain't so Joe. I am an registered independent voter. Seems to me that someone is pulling your leg, so that you can walk better on a hillside. Smile, say thank you, and vote for what is right according to your faith, and the constitution of the United States of America.

Bump up your brightness to 30, bump up your contrast to 15, and see what happens to your photo. This is an old trick I learned with my first digital camera. I use Paint Shop Pro, version 8 by Jasc (now out of business, but the software is fantastic.)
