The K1000 is a film camera is it not? I'm confused. I gleaned from your post that you think it is a DSLR. It's not. Maybe I read the post wrong but I remember the "Then I will have two DSLR's". Just wondering.
I gave my SB-400 unit to my son for his setup. With the grandkids, he uses flash a lot more than I do. I have to tell you though,I can't tell a great deal of difference between the Promaster and the Nikon. Granted they are both entry level units but they have similar ranges and the Promaster is at least $50.00 cheaper.
Thanks Jerry, I'm going to try a couple.
Anyone own, or tried the $11.00 Slave Flash Jerry is talking about? Thinking of buying one.
I bought a "Promaster 2500EDF Digital Flash" about 6 months ago. Did not want to spend the higher bucks for a Nikon SB-400 flash. It seems to work well but has limited power. Adjusts up and down for ceiling bounce but does not move side to side. It is "ttl" however and made for Nikon DSLR's. I would say I paid $40-$50 bucks less than a SB-400 new. I like it.
Had fly's on all my pictures until I took the filter off. Kind of miss them.
I took my protective filter off a month ago and posted on this site about it. Big difference. Without filter shots are much better. It was a no name cheap uv I was using however.
18-105. Good walk-around lens.
Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. Starting to "Get" this board.
Thanks. Another member pointed out, all I have to do is select "My Topics" from the menu at the top of the page. Thanks again for the reply.
Thanks people for the compliments.
I posted two pictures yesterday and now I can't find them in Photo Gallery. The title was "Been Lazy This Last Year". Where did they go? Just beginning to find my way around this site.
With five operations behind me in the last two years I've been quite lazy in my shooting. Left the camera on "P" most of the time. Today I decided to go back to "M" and "S" or "A". Now I remember what I love about Photography!
