Wow. This list has laid out my bucket list for the next twenty years. Wife retires next month and we are off to the races. Well, we start with a cruise to Alaska in May followed by Switzerland in June (I have two days of work there...Ahhhhh...).
Then we'll return and head out with the {{{Fifth Wheel}}} for some of the stuff suggested here. Thanks for the stimulus!
Since you have now noted your mode of travel and are planning a stay in Phoenix, I'll suggest you visit the "Happy Trails RV Resort" at 14200 W. Bell Road in Surprise, AZ (a suburb of Phoenix)....my brother traveled the whole US with his Fifth Wheel and now permanently resides at this resort....he originally purchased a site there and spent all his winters there and did his traveling from April to October and maybe a little later.......it's a 55 and over park which has everything you could want and all the folks are almost like family...the RV pads are beautiful and they also have permanent "Park Models" for purchase......you may want to consider doing the same......a great place to "Winter"....if there is a chance you may go there, let me know and I'll give you my brother's name and lot No. and he will definitely keep you entertained....
