I found myself in New York, 25 years ago, at the top of the World Trade Center with only a couple of frames left on my 35mm Camera. I bought a roll at the gift shop on the top floor for $20 some dollars; that cured me. The memory prompt is good but only if you have a spare memory card. I have an OP/TECH battery case that will hold an extra battery and a spare memory card that fits nicely on my camera strap. I can drape my tethered lease cap over the top and everything is out of the way. The other thing I do is, whenever I remove a memory card or battery I leave the access door open and place the cameras upside down is a secure spot. Extra card, extra charged battery is with my camera always as I don’t trust myself.

Bad weather "ain’t all bad" on the north shore, I lucked out a couple of years ago with some morning fog. My wife and I don’t get there often enough as we spend about half of our summers in Voyageurs National Park. Have you ever been to Voyageurs? It too is a photographers paradise.

I don’t know about anyone else but I take better composed photos with a tripod. It slows me down and makes me think
about what the heck I’m actually doing.

Another important issue not mentioned here is "breathing". I’m also a firearms shooter and I know, when you breathe
It lifts your arms that are ideally anchored to your chest. Breathing techniques are throughly covered in various articles on the net.

A nice photo Jack. I’m a life long resident of Minnesota and have been to the North Shore (Duluth to Canada) many times in the last 74 years. It is a far better coast to photograph than the "rocky coast of Maine." It has many more places to pull over for a quick shot and LOTS of parks, scenic, views, waterfalls et. Many of these beautiful spots are
right on the highway and some require hiking.

If you don’t have a program like Photoshop, go to "Snapseed" and download the free app. Then open it and go to
"perspective", click the right hand "free" icon and drag the borders so everything lines up square with the world.

Good advice from water falls. I don’t know which I enjoyed the most, the plant or the museum, they were both great.
Even my wife enjoyed the manufacturing plant.

I’m in complete agreement with all, in removing the poles over the grooms head, flowers etc and then lighting up the couple. But also ,when viewing the photo, if I hold my thumb over the coach light on the left and my hand over the
ceiling lights, my eyes jump right to the couple. So, I would clone them out too.

Taking sunset photos is a good time to use "exposure compensation" you can tweak the exposure in PP.

I was taught by a professional photographer in a basic digital camera class 15 years ago to NEVER use my camera to transfer photos to a computer. ALWAYS use a card reader. The reason is, "if the camera battery dies in the middle of a file transfer you can loose your photos". Is this STILL true? Does anyone know? Generally, any aborted file transfers on a computer can cause issues one doesn’t need.

Is there some kind of a "rail system" (simulator to a "plate rail" where the metal photo/photos can sit in.
That way the prints could be easily changed at with the season etc. Any suggestions?

Take a drive to Everglades City and stop at the "Rod and Gun Club", a photographers dream. This place is "old Florida"
on steroids. Sit on the screen porch, next to the Baron River, and have a Grouper sandwich and a cold beer. This is an old hotel/restaurant that was in its hey days in the 40s when Eisenhower and others stayed here. It is simply WONDERFUL!

Go to Stan’s in Goodland, just east of Marco Island. Sit near the docks and photograph the locals coming and going from their boats. You will see some unbelievable people, drink some cold beer and eat some good food. Some times they have live music too.
