Really nice set of shots. You brought back great memories of our visit to the same town a few years ago. I have many of the same shots. The day we were there, a wedding was taking place in the church. Beautiful! We also sat on the balcony of the hotel with a glass of wine and a spectacular view of the Mediterranean. Such a beautiful location. Would love to go back. As Bob Hope sang, "Thanks for the Memories"!!!

If in Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia is a must. The cathedral is amazing and you need a few hours just to walk around. Buy tickets ahead of time online. Otherwise 2 hour wait in line. Here is a sample of the stain glass. Too beautiful. Do not miss!! Enjoy!

While working at the golf course I spotted this eagle and quickly grabbed my camera. No time for settings but got these shots. In the tree, taking off (love the talons) and looking back at me while flying towards hole #1. Fun~

Came across this Heron grabbing (stabbing) his meal. Love the variety of birds around SW Florida!

A couple of days a week I work at a golf course in Florida and I aways carry my Nikon around. Wildlife abound! Fun shot!

I too went to a zoo recently to practice. I was able to get close to the fence and manually focus on the animals. Here are a couple of examples and if you look very closely you will see a slight blur but for the most part I was pleased with the results. Also, many zoos do not let you come in with professional equipment without signing a release form. Check their policies on their website. I signed a form and was allowed into the zoo at no charge. Paid to be upfront!!

Indi, I have used that technique before. Very effective. This is why I like submitting photos on UH. So many great tips! Thank you again!

Yes, thanks so much. I did some editing in Lightroom but this is much better. Did you use Lightroom or Photoshop?

Thanks Frank, I think that's what make it somewhat unusual. Most flying gull shots are way above the head. This gull was at about waist level when coming at me. I was lucky to get his eye just right.

I was walking down the beach practicing some shots when this gull came in very low. Semi overcast day. Shot at ISO 250, F5.6, 1/2000

This hawk made an appearance on our golf course today. Glad I had my camera handy, however, it was the closest I came to a 'birdie' all day!!! :)

Thanks! He is certainly not intimidated by the bigger kids. Fun to shoot these games. I also make them available to the parents at no charge.
