Thanks. I'm not sure I have "valuable or rare" photos but I do have some that are great memories from our 2nd visit.

The view of the calm Tiber River with Bernini's "bridge of the Angels" and the Mausoleum of Hadrian is excellent as is the Theater of Marcellus with people still living in it.

In his COMPLETE NIKON SYSTEM (2000, pp. 425-6). Peter Braczko lists 57 EL (enlarging) and APO (apochromatic correction) lenses ranging from 30mm all the way to 1780mm!, and even including three EL-zoom lenses (53-80, 45-91, and 77-111). The lens I own is 63mm/2.8 has the serial # 740816. On p. 425 he also lists four Nikkor Macro lenses: 19mm/2.8 (enlarges from 15X-40X), 35mm/4.5 (enlarges from 8X-20X), 65mm/4.5 (enlarges 3.5-10X), and 120mm.6.3 (enlarges from 1.2X-4X). A friend of mine found a set of these four at a yard auction for $100! and bought them for me (people are selling these gorgeous objects as useless/old things). I am missing attachments BR-15 and BR-16 to connect the tiny 19mm and 35mm lenses and the more normal looking 65 and 120 to the bellows or camera.
In case you have never seen them, I attach a picture of the 35mm and 65mm lenses.

Rob, you are absolutely right: Rome is justly famous as one of the most beautiful and interesting cities to visit. We often see the Vatican on television, not as much the monument to Vittorio Emmanuele II (built 1885), the king of Sardinia who defeated the Austrians and became the first king of united Italy in 1861.

Yes Ebbote, all the movies you mention are my favorites too. Hollywood had a way of including a love story or triangle even when the original story didn't. This is one of the main reasons for calling them soap operas. When the cinematography is great, we ought to forgive them.

Wow, I had no idea! I thought all of Hollywood was a big soap opera but we all learned to appreciate great cinematic feats like Ben-Hur, Lawrence of Arabia, Dr. Zhivago, Show boat, etc etc.

Great list, but there are more than 10.
What ever happened to the real oldies like GONE WITH THE WIND?

Feeding birds is a long-term affair. It takes a few years for them to learn your yard and to develop trust, meaning no enemies for them. You should have several feeders: one for general use with extra sunflower seeds, a satellite feeder for small birds like chickadees with only sunflower seeds, a small feeder with thistle seed for American goldfinches, and possibly two more; a feeder with suet to attract woodpeckers (their best food in the winter), and a small feeder for hummingbirds. Before you know it, your yard would become a sanctuary for all sorts of flyers and migrating birds that keep coming every year.

It is a shame and also a complete waste to discard film lenses. Some of us have found uses for them, especially thanks to Nikon's Df camera. What is the future for millions of these beautiful objects? How about enlarging lenses?
I recently found in one of my cabinets a Nikkor 63mm, f/2.8 in like new condition. Has anyone found a use for enlarging lenses?

The Nikon 14-24mm/2.8 is so sharp that even Canon pros found a way to use it (retails for $2000)

The all night photo is brilliant! I just read a book written by the astrophysicist Carlo Rovelli "The First Scientist" and he used a similar B@W photo to show how Anaximander was the first to realize that the Earth is floating in space rather than being supported by a giant 2500 years ago (if the stars make a full circle it means there is no giant beneath). It looks as though your image was shot at 24mm, I wonder what it would look like at 14mm, recommended by some for capturing more of the heavens.
I live in a city with lots of street lights and can't do it myself.
