My wife and I were sightseeing in the ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey. (If it's not on your bucket list, put it on) An amazing place particularly if you like ancient history. It was built in the 10th century. There you will find the sculpture of the greek god of Nike. (Victory) Look closely at her wind blown skirt and you will see the famous Nike swoosh which became their international symbol. Now you know the background of the Nike swoosh! :)

Such nice photos! Beautiful part of the world for sure. Loved the Limoncello. Lemons the size of our grapefruits. If you can get to the Cinque Terra (attached) area up the coast some, you'll also find incredible photo ops!! Loved the whole west coast of Italy. Jealous! Enjoy and thanks again for sharing!

Yes, I had to look it up. I have seen him frequently but this time had my camera. I'm sure I'll see him again.

Not great shots but saw him on my walk. The closer I got the more he yelled at me. Eventually flew to a different tree. Beautiful bird!

Thanks tejaswrangler, actually there were lots of people around and I had to wait just to get that shot. I'm trying to learn patience. Not easy for me. :)

Thanks, as to old saying goes, 'the more you practice the luckier you get". There were many stained glass windows to shoot. Loved this one! Here is just one more!
