What a bargain! These sell for about $40 on Ebay.

I never remove my SD card. I use the USB connection and download directly from the camera, same with my video cameras. Reading about the "no card" disasters, I wonder why more people don't use the USB connection.

You were wise to decline the role of Wedding Photographer! However your friends do like the candid shots that you took, and you could do this before and after the ceremony as just another guest with a camera, taking care to stay away from the hired photographer and intentionally far away from the posed group shots (unless you are in them).

I have the same camera, and I do have a filter ring screw-on wide angle that has significant vignetting when zoomed out. I bought Canon's 10-18 zoom which avoids this issue and it is now my favorite lens for group activity and candid shots. It is exceptionally useful in close quarters getting everyone in the group into the frame without the vignetting. Such a lens would be necessary for a wedding.

I'm an early riser, and when I saw these roses in the moonlight I tried to capture the image - not easy focusing in the dark! This was about a twenty second exposure using a Pentax 50 1.4.

I bought a similar lens (Altura) and it works well on my T6, but I can't get the round effect for which fisheyes are famous. For example, the tiny planet shot (lens pointing straight down) can't be achieved on a crop sensor. It does make for a nice wide angle, but I prefer the 10-18 Canon lens for wide angle shots. Does anyone want to buy a hardly used 8mm fisheye with an EF mount?

Funny. I am a computer guy and rebooting, or checking to make sure the power is on or plugged in, usually solves about 80% of all issues.

Computers (processors) are now in almost everything, creating a need to reboot for many devices. My Kitchen Aid dishwasher sometimes just freezes, and I have to cycle the circuit breaker to re-boot it.

I have been buying/collecting cameras on ebay just for fun. I recently bought an AE-1 just for the commemorative 1984 Olympics lens cap!

I love my Canon 10-18. This photo, looking toward the mountains West of Boulder, Colorado, was taken hand-held. Note the orange light reflected back off the snow on the distant peaks. I also like the lens for close-quarters candid shots of grandkids at play.

I like to take many shots as the group attempts to assemble for what they assume is the Real Picture. Some great candid shots can result - and the best could be cropped.

I'm new here, but I do want to weigh in on a related point. For the last decade, I have been primarily a videographer, and significantly with action cameras (helmet cam). Just amateur stuff, but more recently I wanted to get back into still photography and got a Canon T6. That is a lot of fun! Now I realize that I have a really great video function that can also be used with a relatively inexpensive teleprompter that attaches to the filter ring and allows me to use my phone and a Dropbox link to scroll the text for the interview. This works really well, especially with the 50 mm lens - nice foreground focus and background blur. I can also use my 10-18 mm zoom for spectacular close-up video in tight settings like the "wild west" show we attended last week, where the actor was right next to me. I never had those capabilities with my amateur video gear.
