I have a coolpix L120 and have had a few pics with blur...but mostly at the far end of the telephoto...which I just avoid by a smidge.

Have taken over a 1000 pics with the little guy and am quite pleased.

Ansel Adams was reknown for his skills not only in composing his photographs, but also how he processed them in his darkroom (aka, post-processing). He used all of the tools he had available to make his photographs the best they could possibly be. I have no doubt that he would have used software tools as well, if they have been available to him.

IOW, if PP was good enough for Ansel Adams it's good enough for me. ;)

there are good things about both processes....nothing like seeing an image appear in the developer...but you got one shot out of 36....now you can take a pic and make it anything you want...

Ok...my darkest secret...used to set up my home darkroom in the bathroom...only one window to cover ...water etc...

So one night my girlfriend knocked on the door and said..."I need to p**" and I said "not now"...so she got in the car and went to a gas station about a mile down the road....

NOT my most romantic nite...but we do what we do for the pictures...

I remember consciously calculating costs of vacations to include film. Gas was cheap but you scrimped on "nightlife" and drank cheap beer to afford the number of rolls you thought you'd shoot! Photographers arent "normal" :-D

Ya think?...he who lives by the bad roll...etc...and I love your hat...and do have any more cigars???

and I know it was tough back then...but it was one shot out of hundreds...that made you pic up your camera and shoot another roll...

dont get me wrong...digital is a wonder...and I have four cameras...but there are no contact sheets and a loop anymore...

And B&W is becoming a lost art...

But most of the time we didnt have a choice.

Yes, you can get B&W out of the digital world these days and most of it is pretty good.
But there's nothing like spending the day in the dark room and watching those "blank" pages come to life when you place them in the chemicals.
Pure Magic!!!
