Ok, I took your advice and bought the YN-560 and it will arrive tomorrow. I will be using this flash as my main flash in all situations and as I think about it will I be better off with an automatic flash or just learn how to use a manual flash. My son has alot of performances at school in dark situations, I will be usually sitting 4-5 rows back from the stage and need to get a good, not grainy picture. Last 2 performances he did came out grainy and red eyes. I am paying 18,000 a year for kindergarden at a private school and would like to get a good picture or my wife will kill me.

Hello out there, I am fairly new to the whole photo thing but I love to take pictures. I have a site at HTTP://www.gopixit.com/capturedmoments.com if anyone would like to comment on my pictures. My question is two fold. I would like to know about monitors, I have gone trough three of them in the last month because I dont like the picture quality when I pull up PS5 I have to switch from my laptop to my monitor to get the right color. I am now using an LG W2253VP {can this be tweaked to do the trick} monitor with an HP I5 laptop. I'am a Manager at Office Depot and if anyone could recommend a monitor we sell there it would be great. Second I would like a flash that wont coast me an arm and a leg. Thank you all in advance.

I was at a bar the the day and was asked to take some pictures for an Engagement party. I used a Canon T3i with a 50mm 1:1.8 lens setting was on P Auto ISO Monochrome, AWB, built in flash up, one shot mode, Evaluative Metering, and raw+L. I had some couples posed with the girl in front and the guy slightly behind or head on shoulder and he front person came out great a the behind person came out blurry, why? They liked the pictures some much {looking at them on my camera} that they asked me to shoot thier wedding. What was the problem.

My name is James and I am really just starting out in photography you can see some of my shots at www.igopixit.com/capturedmoments. Metering seems to be a downfall at the moment. I was in a bar trying out my new external flash and failed miserably. I took some good pictures of couples and the closer person came out great but the person right next to the other person but behind just slightly came out bad. help
