I do not think you understand the labor participation rate ..... the rate includes students and RETIRED people, housewives etc. .... people who are NOT looking for jobs ....... remember .. the retirement population is growing at the fastest rate ever .... to increase the participation rate you would have to require people like me to get a job .... I don't need a job ..... so will you put a gun to my head and order me to work ....

Sorry, but the Labor Participation Rate specifically does not include students and retired people, housewives etc... people who are not looking for jobs. Here is part of the definition from Investopedia:

"The participation rate is an important metric to use when analyzing unemployment data because it reflects the number of people who are interested in participating in the work force. These people are either looking for employment or are employed, and are at or above the working age of 16. People not included in the participation rate include those who do not want to work or can't work. This includes people such as students, homemakers, incarcerated people and retirees."

One major flaw in the article are the employment numbers.
Most jobs created were part time low paying. This accounts for the malaise of those who are working as their high paying secure job was traded for a low paying part time job. Also the employment rate is completely fabricated. The libs pass it to the stupid Americans as very low but they forget to mention the millions that have given up looking for work and no longer collecting unemployment. They have just gone onto welfare. If you add those who gave up hope of ever working again to that number of unemployed it is one of the worst unemployment rates ever since the great depression.
Libs will say prove it because they are complete i***ts. I say prove me wrong first by proving me wrong on the numbers and percent that have just dropped out of the work force in the last 8 years.

You are absolutely correct Architect. Obama makes the claim that he has created 4.5 million jobs since taking office. He is technically correct, but he never mentions that the population has increased by 20 million during this same time period. This is the most basic device for fooling people with numbers. All Presidents increase jobs because of the simple population expansion. Obama actually lost 4% of the workforce when you look at the labor participation rate.

Now I respect Neil, however he is way off base here. First of all, let us assume he is correct. If that is the case, then GOD turns out to be a meta universe that is also a simulation of a meta-meta universe. This becomes an issue of recursive creation... that no major religion will want to tackle.

However, the point I take exception to is the "probability". Where does he get his odds? How many universes has he created to do statistical predictions. We cannot escape this universe, by definition. We are stuck with the unique probabilities within our universe.... it is as illogical to apply this universe's probabilities to its creation, as it is to teach your daddy how to make babies!

For our intents and purposes, there is only one universe... and the chances of it being intelligently designed are either 100% of ZERO.

I like your logic on this. How can you possibly stake odds on something like this when you have only one universe with which to compare?

Having said that, you will soon find out that I am the only conscious being in the Universe, and the rest of you people are only figments of my fertile imagination! Merry Christmas.

it was perfectly fine for Oblahblah to campaign from Europe during his first run and meet with world leaders. It was ok for him to tell the Russians they would have more options after he was elected. But it's not ok for Trump to receive a congratulatory call from the president of Taiwan?

I'm really tired of the democrat paranoia. All this reinforces the book title: Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. The seeds of dissatisfaction are being fertilized by socialists, c*******ts and hillary-rotten supporters. How sad that the democrats have sunken so low and hypocritical. I think you ought to look for blame within your ranks. You essentially elected Trump. Anyone that could have supported such a corrupt woman or a lame socialist is certainly to blame. The policies of either would have further bankrupted our country. Man up and let's see how Trump does. Many of us sucked it up when Oblahblah was elected. None of us r**ted. None of us needed safey pins, coloring books, higher dosages of Prozac. We waited and watched and waited and watched. Nothing good happened in 8 years. Our brilliant business leaders found ways to cope and bolster their businesses and the economy. The minimal upswing in the economy that oblahblah is leaving us is not his doing. He's done everything to suppress the economy by blunder or plan.

Suck it up! Act like a thinking American not like a sheep in panic because one of your own said "BOO!" I'm willing to give Trump a chance. He has always surrounded himself with brilliant doers. You watch. He is doing that and you will see action. He will see to it that his lieutenants performs. You dont get to be a multi-billionaire without good organizational sk**ls and reliance on talented staff. I can't wait to see if what he has in mind makes a difference to us all.

Blurry, speaking of the national e******n, you are wrong, simply and wildly incorrect, and nowhere close to the mark.

Period.

Let me refer you to this link:

http://www.cnn.com/e******n/results/exit-polls

There are pages of numbers to consider; let me summarize a few for you.

First of all, you forget Hillary won the popular v**e. Everything you say is repudiated by that simple fact, that fact two and one half million times.

Now, T***p w*n the male v**e, getting 52% of it; Hillary won the female v**e with 54% of it.

Hillary won the age group 18-44 with 53% of the v**e; T***p w*n the elder v**e (45 and older) getting 52%.

T***p w*n the white v**e, getting 57%; Hillary won the non-white, getting 74%.

Hillary won the college v**e with 52%; T***p w*n the non-college with 51%.

Hillary won the liberal v**e (84%) and the moderate v**e (52%); T***p w*n the conservative v**e with 81%.

T***p w*n the born-again or evangelical christian v**e with 80%; other v**ers went to Hillary by 60%.

In the "most important issue" Hillary won on Foreign Policy (60%) and Economy (50%); T***p w*n on Immigration (64%) and Terrorism (57%).

Hillary v**ers were More Union (51%) Trump v**ers more Non-Union (48%).

On "Candidate Quality," Hillary won on Cares About Me (57%) Right Experience (90%) and Good Judgement (65%); T***p w*n on Can Bring Change (82%). Trump lost big on Right Experience (7%) and Good Judgement (25%).

Finally, in 'area type' of v**er, Hillary won Urban Area (60%) and T***p w*n Suburban Area (49%) and Rural Area (61%).

In summary, Trump v**ers were over 45, U S Born White Males with Meager Education, Suburban or (mostly) Rural Christian Churchgoers, Announced Conservatives who earned over $50,000 or more, and Wanted Change, were mostly concerned about Immigration and Terrorism, and Mainly Disliked His Opponent (50%).

Hillary v**ers were Better Educated, tended Female, Strongly Minority, Liberal with Greater Diversity of Religion, (9% were not born as U S Citizens) tending toward Union Households, Strongly Favored Her (53%) and supported her on Foreign Policy and the Economy. They favored her because she "Cares About Me" (57%) had the "Right Experience" (90%) and "Good Judgement" (65%).

Blurry, this is a partial summary (it goes on for pages) which favors Diversity (50,000 Hispanics reach v****g age Every Month) and Youth (Hillary won 18-44 by 53% to 39% while T***p w*n 45 and older by 52% to 39%).

There is no reason for Democrats and Liberals to despair about the future, while the Republicans and Conservatives are dying off in the near future. The future looks bright for the Dems and Liberals.

I point out again Dems won the popular v**e by two and one-half million v**es; that ain't victory, but it ain't shabby.

The numbers show that T***p w*n by instilling fear of Terrorism and hatred of Muslims, then crowned it with personal Hatred of Hillary. He installed his fear and hatred among the uneducated, fanned the flames and won; he succeeded.

Hillary was recognized as the clearly superior candidate in qualifications and in the respect of the v**ers.

Now we have to suffer four years (maybe less) from his ignorance and incompetence, and hope he doesn't get us into another war.
Blurry, speaking of the national e******n, you are... (show quote)

Every e******n since the beginning of time we hear the same old story "Young people are v****g Liberal while the old Conservatives are dying off." It gives a misleading perpetual hope to the Democrats for the future e******ns. The thing is though, people always tend to v**e more liberal when they are young, and they turn more conservative when they get older. It seldom happens the other way around. So a chunk of those liberal v**ers who v**ed for Hillary this time around will be v****g for some Republican next time. That gives us Conservatives perpetual hope!

I am not deflecting, why is it different when some TV station in Nevada makes a mistake VS the major networks who's slanted manufactured news did everything they could to defeat Trump's campaign and at the same time whitewashing any story presented on Hillary.
This is a mistake rather than a well planned attack.

Well stated phcaan. The mistake with Stan Vaughan is nothing compared to the deliberate fabrications that are put out by the left-wing media. Theirs is a planned operation of mis-information to try to swing e******ns and culture their way.

You stumbled across a guy I know about in the chess world. He is a big fraud and has been claiming to be World Champion for a number of years, despite not even being a master level player. He created phony organizations and has been plaguing the chess world for several decades. He was barred from running chess tournaments more than twenty years ago by the U.S. Chess Federation. I can't believe he has now gotten into politics. Don't believe a thing he says on that video. It is all a big joke.
