I would take the Plymouth anyday over the Ferrari, hands down. The car has class and style not found in the present. Nice pics.

I have the Neewer grip for my 7100 and have been using it for the past two years with no problems. Along with non OEM batteries. As far as cost it was a third the price of a Nikon one. If you are on a budget you can save a lot and get the same results. It is an accessory not a body or lens. All you are paying for is the name and the name does not make it better.

And be prepared for the comment "you must have a pretty nice camera."

I also would opt for a 7200 for the dual cards. I saw the changes they made to the 7500 and was immediately turned off by it. To me it was a step towards entry level cameras not away from them. More bang for the buck would be from the 7200 or even a 7100 in my opinion.

Had a battery in mine for 2 years straight and no prophets. But then mine has never sat longer than a few days.

So all long exposure milky way shots are fake too then because they are not what we see. Photography is more than taking a picture it is an art form. Some people are happy taking pictures and that is fine, others want to be more creative and go beyond pictures and create their vision for the scene and I think that is great.

A huge ditto! So long exposure in any form would result in fakery?? It's simply a technique, Ron, that some photographers use to show movement of the water. I like looking at fountains, but my eyes don't see the water suspended as individual drops. By your reasoning, wouldn't that be fakery? What about all of us lighten up a bit and stop criticizing the photographic style of others??

My thoughts also. Birds are not naturally suspended in mid air with wings put. The OP states his dislike and attempts to even belittle those that use long exposure as faery and therefore not real photography. I don't care for his image at all as it looks like the snapshot of an amateur but that is just my opinion. I do see the most popular images being long exposure.

Find a copy of Picasa. Simple to use. The only one I use to create slide shows. Can add music and various transitions. Take a couple minutes to create a 4 min show.

To me certain sites should be kept secret in order to protect them from the public. Grass can grow back in most cases but broken rocks can't. Then you have the trash issue people always seem to throw. Tell them you don't want to have GPS on the images to protect and preserve the sites. Assuming they are landscape images.

I shoot a lot of abandoned homesteads and never divulge where they are to prevent others who think they can trespass and do what they wish because it is abandoned. JMO.

Resort it. The image is too busy with many distractions. The Tree branch through the birds head. The blurred upright post/tree in the way. Shot is underexposed. Lose the date stamp the file data will have the date in it.

Yes it can be improved on just not on this image.

I use the same lens on my 7100 and am very pleased with it. A sturdy wide angle for sure. I like the first one also.

May be I am a snob but a serious camera needs to have these features.
1. Manually adjustable aperture.
2. Manually adjustable shutter speed.
3. Either fixed or adjustable ISO but not Auto only.
4. Manually focusable. Doesn't matter if it's only scale focusing.
5. Be able to be trigger remotely via wire or wireless to prevent shake.
6. Be able to trigger an external flash.

I tend to agree with you. Serious photography currently requires a camera as you mentioned. You do not get those things in point and shoots and phones, yet. I would also add to the list the ability to shoot in raw.

Most cell phone shots get pixelated when trying to make large Prints and lose sharpness when viewed at 100%.

It is a difficult read due to grammar and structure of the op. Wish people would proofread before posting.
