SD cards are VERY durable indeed. I dropped one on the floor one day without knowing it. I left the house for a while and when I came back I missed it. My Jackrussel dog had found it and chewed on it. I had a church video on it that I had now copied to my hard drive yet. Needless to say I was upset ( I blamed myself, not the dog). I decided to just try and see it I could get anything off of the card, and low and behold, I got the whole video with no problem. So, they are very durable, but I would not suggest leaving them lay around for your dog to chew on. :)
Really nice set! I enjoyed them!
Beautiful set Mike!! I love the mountains and caught them just right!
Thank you Linda, for your kind words.
My wife and I took a walk in the park today. Comments, good or bad, appreciated. Thanks for looking.
ricador7, thanks for the advise. I will watch this in the future.
I have attached a mixed batch of photos to see if I have advanced off of the bottom rung of the amateur ladder. Your honest opinion would be appreciated. Thanks to all.

If you only have one drive C:, and it is full, then you need to get another hard drive to store you data on or purchase a larger C: drive. You have to have a certain amount of available space on you C: drive for the operating system to function. If you go below this minimum required space, then you will experience extreme slowness and freeze ups. I have two 1 terabyte drives on my desktop, one for applications and one for data storage. If you have a laptop, then I suggest you get a larger hard drive and use a backup drive for your data, whatever that is, documents, pictures, etc. Using sd cards or thumb drives are not an option. As everyone has already said, hard drives are cheap these days. If your C: drive dies, which happens often, then chances are that your data is gone for good, unless you are willing to pay some big bucks to have a tech to retrieve your data, and a lot of the times that doesn't work either. Hope this helps.
Thanks Linda. I will remember this when taking photos in the future.
Thanks WhiteWolfOwner. I don't have a way to change the format to DNG and I have been taking the photos in the .jpg format. I have ps and can change a photo to a .png format, but that is the best I can do. After reading articles in uhh, I will start shooting in RAW from now on.
Hi all, I have been taking pictures for a few years and my wife tells me some of the pictures are really good, however I think she is just being a loving wife. I would like my new friends from uhh to give me some honest opinions and tell me what could be better or if the photos are even presentable. I am just an amateur, and I value your opinions because of the awesome photos you put on uhh. I thank you in advance for your evaluations.
I have a Nikon D3100 camera I have had for a few years and suddenly it has been very slow to activate the shutter when pressed to take a picture. I don't know if I have inadvertently change a setting or if the camera is needing service. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? I am not a beginner in photography, but don't consider myself as intermediate either, so be easy on the use of advance jargon. Thanks in advance.
