The second shot to me is better but may be just a tad to light, again it is in the eye of the person viewing it. One thing I learned from taking a photography class is the the human brain and eye reads a photo from lower left to upper right and will for the most part go to the focal point of the photo, which in your case is the head no one will pay attention to the brown feathers except a fellow photographer. Good pics hope this helps.

The following looks like a good site to compare the 2 lenses.

I have no idea I have had no problems with mine the one thing I will say is the warranty is very good and is for 6 years as long as you dont drop it in a caldron of boiling hot water if you know what I mean LOL. From what I understand if there is a problem the turnaround is very quick 3 to 4 days the most. Good Luck

No Problem again sorry for the error. I still dont think you will be sorry with the Tamron but if you can go to a local camera store and they sell both bring your camera and take some pics with both and then download them into photoshop and do your own comparison that's what I did and settled on the Tamron. But as they all say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I am sorry I sent you a pic from the 10/24mm Tamron still looking for the one from the 150/600 when I locate it I will be sure to send it. I dont think you will be sorry with the Tamron if and when you purchase it.

After months of reviews on the PC of both lenses I decided to get the Tamron and I have it connected to a D7200, it as well as any lens of this length is heavy and you can use it handheld I like the fact that the foot is removable which makes it easier to hold by hand and not have the foot in the way, For a good comparison if you have a camera shop and they sell both I would say rent them if you can and then make a side by side comparison and you will see very little difference, another suggestion would be to look at comparisons from only reputable people on the internet, I found seeking out loads of info did me more harm than good.
The trick here is use your best judgement and you can't go wrong, I have a promaster gimbal for the lens and am also thinking about getting a hand grip after seeing someone with the lens mounted to a grip thought it was a good idea. In the end only you can make the right choice, I have included a pic that someone sent me that was taken with the Tamron hand held see what you think, and good luck.

I may look into that to hand hold the Tamron 150 to 600 lens.

I have the same lens and bought a Pro Master GH10 gimbal head but added a Wimberly P-30 lens plate to get more stability for the lens foot so far so go and the price wont break the bank. It is aluminum but seems to be very well made so far no issues, the nest was my first choice but is very pricey, mostly I think because it is carbon fiber they both do the same thing, but like all camera equipment it is personal choice and what the wallet can bear.

Thanks, just looking for long term tried the Tamron and had good results, also the Sigma, but to be honest the best results were from the Nikon's newest lens 10/24.
