“Working it” for the camera

What adorable little girls they are! I especially love the next to last picture of the one in blue ... such a sweet-natured little person in there. <3 I once worked in an office with a fellow who was a twin and he pointed out that he realized as he was older that he always had someone to play with as a child. Definitely a special relationship twins have.

A few Spotted Towhee shots from our yard, taken 4-19-2022.

I rarely see Towhees this far above ground! They are usually on or near to the ground. They run as well as they fly through the brambles.

Although they look very similar, the images posted here are of five different individuals.

Download and enjoy!

Nice shots! I love Towhees and started noticing them when I was in grade school. We just had a healthy specimen in the bird bath this past week. I don't normally spot them in there as much as the smaller birds or Robins.

Thanx for viewing and commenting! We do live on a beautiful area!

We do! I'm just hoping it warms up pretty soon ... not HOT ... just a little warmer. :-)

The only reason that I was thinking he could do with less is that he's go an entire server that he can use as storage. However, there have been several good arguments for the larger drive, he was adamant and it's now ordered.

That's great! Overall, the unit functions better with wiggle room on the hard drive. It impacts more than just storage.

Thanks. The answer is that they approach the feeder from the same direction.

I figured there was a logical explanation that was out of frame. :-)

That's beautiful! I sure wish we had those birds in the Pacific Northwest.

I've usually had my Mac for 7 years before I'm forced to upgrade. In that time the space I thought was ample is always getting crowded... so I get as much hard drive space as possible when buying new. Just my two cents' worth.

Nice!

I wonder... how did you get them to all pose facing the same direction? :-D

Very nice! I especially like that last one of the backlit Mahonia. Beautiful! And yes... dead nettle really IS attractive, despite being a weed. ;-) Our little granddaughter wanted me to tell her what that was when she noticed them blooming in our field. Looked like pretties to her. :-)

That fourth one looks like 'Typhoo Tea' but I don't see it around that often. Is it super fragrant and fruity?

Just beautiful ... and not overcooked. Love them all... but especially that second one. <3 Thank you for sharing!

If you're referring to the first image, that was taken inside the Conservatory which they transform every year. Here's a few from previous years.

Those are incredible! I smiled at the one with the Christmas balls and ribbon.

Yes! That was the exact spot I was thinking. They had some ginormous pots of multiple golden mums there as focal points. I'm not a greenhouse person so much but that place is special. The way it's constructed... particularly with the large lawn area... feels more like bringing the outside in ... at least for that end. The water feature is spectacular. So much creativity at that place. You are lucky to live so close. Such a gift to the community.

SEASON'S BEAUTY

WOWZA! <3 That's spectacular!

I think I might know where this is... there were big pots of mums there as focal points when I visited in the fall of 2017.

Thanks much. I may wait till next month when I expect the Spring flowers will be flourishing.

Take a look at that link I added to my comment... they have a video at the bottom and I expect they'll update their garden walk-arounds. It might help you know how things are looking before making the trip. Looks like one might want to reserve parking also. You can easily enjoy wandering around there for much of a day... trails through wooded areas... surprise gardens along the way with different flavors and sometimes whimsy built in. It's highly regarded by people who are into gardening and horticulture. Visitors come from other countries just to see the place.

So happy that you enjoyed your visit. As you know with most big citys there are areas we're not terribly proud of but there is a lot to see in and around Philadelphia e.g. Art Museum, Phila Zoo, Fairmount Park, Franklin Institute, Betsy Ross House, Independence Hall, Elfreth's Alley, Sports Stadiums, Adventure Aquarium, Academy of Natural Sciences, Rodin Museum and plenty of Theatre and Music venues.
I have not been to Chanticleer but I will put that on my list. I think you would love Longwood at Christmas. Search my topic "Christmas Splendor" and you'll see the amazing holiday transformation.
So happy that you enjoyed your visit. As you know... (show quote)

I'll do that! :-)

Chanticleer is well worth the visit. Be sure to have the map with you. I think they'll provide one. There are numerous features in the garden with woodsy areas in between. The Teacup garden alone was just gorgeous (near the house). I'm not sure if you have to reserve a time to go there or just try to get there early. They are limited in how many people can park in their lot. It's a private garden. Magical place. You can find info here...

It's interesting watching that video. They are doing their winter clean-up and preparing to open ... things just barely waking up. It will be transformed when warmer weather hits. I'll bet it's just gorgeous in spring (full-on spring). <3
