My Pluto trigger has no drawbacks except for needing to be recharged after being in the bag for months. I mostly used the intervalometer for night sky.
If the quesbout the Acratech, I use a D850 or a D5.
My Acratech GP ballhead works great with my Nikon 500 5.6 PF. I sold my big Jobu gimbal that I was using when I stopped using my Canon 500 F4 II.
I got mine from Photo Expert in Delta, BC. Great price with the exchange rate. I've had it for almost two years and love it. They ship.
I usually stay in Gardiner go right into the north entrance. Sopmetimes I spend a few days in Jackson first before driving up.
They rotate sales of different products every few months and, if you sign up for their webinars, there is usually a 20% of any product code at the end of each.
I have sold numerous pieces of expensive gear on Craigslist. The advantages include cash and no shipping. I have also bought on Fred Miranda using PayPal although there are apocryphal stories of people selling, having the item delivered to the buyer and the buyer claiming that they never received it and "that's not my signature".
I highly recommend the BenQ SW2700 monitor. The color gamut is clearly superior to my Dell Ultrasharp U2410 and the resolution is better. I did need to buy a new video card to appreciate the full resolution. It is available from B&H and no tax with the free payBoo card.
I had had good luck using the profiles from Epson. However, I discovered a couple of years ago, that IT Supplies (previously Atlex) will send you targets. You can print them with your printer on the specified paper, send them the prints, and they will send you a custom ICC profile for that paper for your specific printer. No charge. Their paper and ink prices are also very good.
I am 71. I switched from Canon to Nikon so I could use the 500 PF. I usually use it with my D850. It works great except with the TC-14E iii , the focus is a bit slower and for BIF, I have more trouble getting a focus lock unless I use single point with the center point. The images are great.
I use mine only for backup about once a month and I've lost one seagate in about 20 years. I usually replace them to get larger capacity.
I like it a lot. In addition to periodic GP sales, Topaz also offers "across the board" coupons with each free webinar. I would seriously consider the bundle on sale plus the coupon of GP, AI sharpen and AI Denoise.
I have a related question. I already own a domain and have a host. What website building sofware would anyone recommend to build the website itself? I would note that Wordepress requires using a wordpress host and the domain that they "give" you. That part is not free.
If you want something more versatile, the Pluto Trigger works great. It will wirelessly connect to your cell phone. The range is pret;ty good, no cable to trip over and it has other features like an infrared trip, intervalometer, etc. The only problem is that it will go dead in your bag if you don't use it for months and will need to be recharged before use.
