HI Not sure about the D7500, last year I purchased a Nikon refurb D7200 , ( upgraded from D70)

As far as low light capabilities, I was & am amazed by the 7200, this a night shot from Viking cruise ship in Budapest..... that week was my first real using the camera

I would say buy either model refurb & never look back

the only on I saw on AMAZON was over 1100 but new.
ebay has numerous auctions ..... & two buy now for $329 & $339 respectively .
