Having used a lot of film cameras in various sizes and formats and filters plus Cokins special effects filters and wanting to use them on my Olympus OM-D 10m2 digital camera which allows for jpegs and raw. I use all the tools available in the camera and the post-production software like many of the other posts showing what is possible and like being able to shoot raw in color and conversions to BW so you can have your cake and eat it too. My photography has gone so much farther with digital without having to spend hours in a Darkroom experimenting to get various effects like shooting with filters. For me, it all has been good and added to my learning of photography both in BW and color.

If you are leasing the solar panels any damage should be covered by the company you lease from.

With Sunrun they came out to my home and did a site survey to determine if I could go solar or not. As an incentive to go solar cause my shingled roof needed replacement they offered to pay about 1/2 the cost of the replacement roof and a $500 gift card to go forward with the project, how could I refuse that offer knowing in the near future the roof was going to have to be replaced anyway. The company that Sunrun hired for a new roof and solar panels were A+ no issues and a quick and professional job, and quality materials. Since I am leasing the panels Sunrun covers any issues that occur, but you must remember my lease is for a locked in rate for 20 years no increases and at anytime I can purchase the panels, but why would I, If I were to sell my home the new owner can transfer the lease in their name. After the 20 years since this is a lease Sunrun its on their dime to remove the solar panels if necessary. The best part of this deal is there was no money up front and a locked in rate lease with option to purchase the solar panels starting after 5 years if I so desire. the cost of solar panels has come down to about half of what they cost 10 years ago. If you do decide to go solar watch some Youtube videos which answer a lot of questions you may have about going solar. If you do contact SunRun please mention my name Robin Dessureau as I can earn a stipend for referral, and they might even have you contact me for my experience which has been one of my best going solar. No surprises going with SunRun would now do it again in a heart beat.

Just had solar installed last Fall by Sunrun. If you lease the panels which I do any maintenance is covered for free the length of the lease (20 years, but can purchase from Sunrun after 5 years at fair market value which has come down a lot from what they did cost a lot a few years back) with just an email or phone call. The panels themselves are low to no maintenance so any damage with a lease is a non issue.

With trends being what they are and Canon & Nikon selling less DSLR each year and smartphones with photo apps, social media, bluetooth camera controls. To me sounds like a great idea for a basic smartphone area since as stated a photo is a photo now with todays equipment not having to be just a DSLR, or pocket camera. Even thou I am not one yet to get any smart phone with camera it never to late to stay current with how photos and videos are being currently being created and what is the current tech and apps.

I would go to Staples which offer large prints a lot cheaper than what it would cost to purchase a large format printer for prints that size or a copy center for reasonable prices.

My go to post photo processing software is Smart Photo Editor. I love the way you can quick edit a photo file and come up with various versions in a short amount of time that look truly amazing. The learning curve is very low with a few examples to learn by, the program auto updates when closing and the price is very reasonable. The edited files can be saved in various formats and sizes with out getting overly huge. attached are few photos i have taken and edited using Smart Photo Editor. Turn your so-so photos into Photo-Art worth keeping.

Purchased many Minolta Maxxum slr cameras and AF lenses off E-bay to use on my Sony a-55 SLT. Like new cameras and lenses at dirt cheap prices for great lenses compared to Sony Pro series lenses at $$$ prices. Auto focus works great and zooms are sharp along with the prime lenses with wide open f stops. Also useable on my Olympus OM-D camera with peek focusing and a manual adapter. The best of both worlds film and digital.

Hi, long time photo shooter from the late 60's to the present, Polaroid to 4 x 5 press cameras, 35mm to medium format. Started shooting with Polaroid Swinger for instant gratification. High School Yearbook Photorapher using Yaschica Mat 124G and a Pentax 35mm. First pro camera is a Konica Auto Reflex T, 2,3, 4, 1st medium format camera Mamiya 330 twin lens reflex upgraded to a Mamiya 645 Pro to mainly shoot landscape, group, portrait and weddings. Owned a Darkroom with Stainless steel sink, trays, chems, timers and Omega B-22 35-120 film enlarger with preferred enlarging paper Ilford RC multi contrast.

Recently switched to digital cameras with a whole lot of learning for formats and post processing software. First camera was a Sony 30x zoom bridge camera that shoots jpegs with the look and feel of a DSLR and features. Next a Sony A-55 SLT C-crop sensor camera where I can use my AF Minolta "A" mount lenses and Sony Lenses. Recently Olympus OM-D micro 4/3 mirror-less with Olympus lenses and vintage OM slr lenses using an adapter. Post production photo editing software are Smart Photo Editor, Luminar, Lightroom, Affinity Photo.

Digital photography is keeping it fresh for me with exploring all the differences between film and digital. Each has taught me more about photography as I explore the path of learning new ways of using and seeing with my equipment be it film or digital, chemicals or computer software.
