If you've never been to Yosemite, it won't matter how many photos of it that you've seen, - There is Nothing even close to standing on the Valley Floor, looking up and all around in AWE of it all, Smelling it, Feeling it! - JUST DO IT!

I worked in Printing/Graphic Arts in the 70's, and we used a product called 'Kodak Film Clean' on our negatives.

It was specifically for film negatives, evaporated immediately, and did a great job. -
(I don't know if it's even around anymore, but if so that's your 'Solution'!)

Hello, Fellow Hoggers, - I am considering adding to my Photo-Editing tools for my Win 10, PC.
I have One Terrabyte 'C' drive, 48 GB RAM, (per Hoggers advice), + an NVIDIA 2060 RTX SUPER Graphics Card on my Newish, (Nov.'20) Dell PC, so figure that I have enough 'Beef' now.
My Q is if there is advice on Topaz, and Luminar. - Any preferences on this subject?
(Already Installed: Google Photos, Photoshop Elements 2021, Lightroom 6 (Disk).
The other Q is whether there is an 'All in One' version of either of these, - -
(so I don't have to buy 10 different programs in order to have all that is offered by these Editors?)
And, of course, any other advice as far as Editors & Organizers will be Welcomed, (incl. 'None of the Above')

Thanks in Advance, Pat!

I've always thought that there should be a 'No Sirens' Rule for known 'Quiet Areas'. -

It's not like they have to 'Clear Traffic' from the 'Retirement Community' they've arrived at!
(C'mon folks, get those Walkers & Wheelchairs off the street!)

They only serve to scare people and to give them some 'excitement' to talk about!

First, 'The Rant' -
I use Google Photos mainly BC it's a great storage tool, where you can scroll up/down to a 'year' that you want to check out, and there they are! - There is a 'Share' Button, BUT, - There is NO Provision to R.Click,& 'Copy' a photo to share on email, or use for anything! - (when I try, they want the recipient to have a 'Google Acct.' in order to Share, and Good Luck using it for any other reason!) -
I hope that a fellow Hogger will help make a fool of me, and explain the workaround!

Second, - Do any of you have suggestions as to a Simple, 'Picasa' type Photo Editor for simple things,
- such as Cropping, Straightening, Lightening, Darkening, Highlights, Shadows?
Picasa was the perfect tool for everyday photos and snapshots, even tho I have Lightroom, (4), and Photoshop Elements 2021, Picasa was so easy, simple, and had the basic adjustments for 95% of photos I'd like to share, Not to mention that you could 'Share' directly to E-Mail with it as well! - - (OK, I 'mentioned' it!)
( LR 4 is all I could deal with when I first got it, & now I can't Upgrade to 6 w/o a Subscription to Adobe)

So any help from anyone out there in Hogger Land, would be MUCH appreciated! - Thanks, Pat

I own Nikon D750. Wanted to get the Nikkor 60mm FX F2.8 micro lens but it is on two month back order. So was considering the Sigma DG 70mm F2.8 Macro. Any thoughts?

I was in a similar situation and couldn't afford the $1000.00 for a Canon Zoom Lens, but was in a Camera Store when the fellow showed me this amazing Macro Lens, which I researched and later bought!

- - LAOWA F2.8, 100mm Macro, 2X, - Amazon - $400.00! - Great Reviews, Great Photos!

Altho Not a scientist, I AM a Boater! - Just go to any TIDAL body of water, Dock, or Bulkhead, and make note of, (or Photograph), it during the Full Moon, then come back to that spot two weeks Before the next Full Moon and note the difference! -
As I understand it, during its elliptical orbit around Earth, the Moon is closest when full, and has Gravitational 'Pull' on the Earth, including its Seas, which causes them to be Higher, (and Lower) at that time.

FWIW, - There is a FULL MOON today/tomorrow, which always brings Higher Tides, and as silly as it may sound, it might just be enough to help float it off of the sandy banks, along with the Tugs out there.
(I once did this with a Sailboat, and as Luck would have it, we had a Full Moon AND a High Tide that night and were still struggling with it when a Sea-Going Tug came by, and its Wake was just enough to bump it off of the Beach, - WHEW!)

The news reported that 'High Winds' were to blame, so not sure if 'fault' would be laid on the Cap'n or Pilots, because a ship that's a Quarter Mile long and several hundred feet high, makes for a really effective 'SAIL', leaving the Ship with not enough power or room to out-maneuver the winds!
