We operate best as a coalition, USA and British forces have won some resounding victories together

The only recent time when you went it alone was in Vietnam.......and you sure got your asses kicked there !

We have not forgotten the " Special Relationship" and your response to the Suez Crisis, please tell me how that differed from the Panama Canal ?

Where does this analysis and criticism differ from the widespread derision of Donald Trump, I wonder if the " Indictment" by your senate will have dented his ego ??

or will he just continue applauding himself like the rather stupid game-show host he evolved from ...? " Sorry to use the "Evolution term"......probably he was created using

lots of money as fertiliser plus any other corruption he could create

A war crime? I don't think anyone else arrived at the conclusion you did.

The victors get to write the histories, imagine the scenario if Hitler had achieved his nuclear ambitions

The A-bombs saved 100s of 1000s allied lives. It was the right decision. I know, civilians, you'll say. The Japanese were brutal and massacred millions of civilians. Met a man in Penang, a child at the time the Japanese came through Malaya. He survived the massacre of his village. 3000 men, women, children beheaded, bayoneted, shot. That was just one village. Nanking massacre: 250,000 CIVILIANS. Hospitals emptied and occupants k**led. Who the hell wouldn't advocate extreme measures to halt Japanese atrocities. Our extreme measures worked, thank goodness. Not sure if you are Cambridge, MA or Cambridge, England, but from either location, I'm not surprised at your response about war crimes.

I do agree that Russian front was brutal for Hitler. Hooray! It was also more than brutal for Russia with millions of troops and citizens lost. I suspect we would have endured even without the Russian front harm to Hitler. No one will know, but we had excellent weapons, excellent organization and the "Greatest Generation". I know, you will point out lots of holes and say that generation was not so great; standard mantra from The People's Republic of Cambridge (MA or UK for that matter).

Japan deserved what it got. Europe would be Germany if not for the US.

Not quite all down to the US!.......... there were a lot of other people involved, British,Indians, Canadians, Australians, Poles, French resistance fighters, a combined effort

I recognise the fact that USA was facing an extreme opponent in the invasion of Japanese mainland. Easy to be wise after the event

but surely the humane response might have been to demonstrate the awesome power of the " A "bomb to frighten the Japanese authorities

rather than to drop them on civilians in cities

We were doing pretty well for ourselves, Europe had fallen to the N**is, German invasion of UK was recognized as not possible.

The big mistake that Hitler made was to invade Russia, It was the Russians that defeated Hitler, without the terrible losses on

the Russian front the war on the western front would have taken much longer if ,indeed we had beaten Hitler.

Not a very popular analysis but true nevertheless. USA war with Japan was forced on Japan by USA foreign policy and Pearl Harbour was

a severe jolt to USA overconfidence who underestimated Japan's capabilities. If the USA aircraft carriers had been in harbour at the time of the attack

the course of the war would have been much longer. The termination of the war by Hiroshima and Nagasaki was equivalent to a war crime

EU is a bloated District of Columbia/bloated US Gov't. Having worked with the EU, I have nothing but disdain for that organization. So many across Europe ask why they have to pay so much in taxes as a result of EU. They wonder what they get for it.

Maybe if EU were less autocratic and more sympathetic to the needs of the people, I would have a different view. When I worked with them, they brought forth "experts" that knew nothing, but collected huge salaries. Yes. I do know what they made. It was public record in Europe.

EU is one step toward global government. It has helped to dilute cultures and has burdened it's members with higher taxation and less autonomy.

As for the wars, it was largely socialists and democrats that opposed our entry into war. Ford, Lindbergh come to mind. Initially, FDR was a fan of Hitler's socialism and wanted to learn more from him.

And you, chippy, old boy. You’re as autistic as they come. It’s a shame we couldn’t have left your country on its own, because now you would be speaking German.

Wish I was autistic with the high levels of intellect which is attached to that , regretfully only a normal IQ.

Not the old chestnut about the good old USA saving the world.........Sat on the fence WW 1 and WW2 to see which way it would go while you

made a fortune with your munitions factories. When you came in you didnt do too well, remember the Kasserine Pass and you refusal to learn

from our navy about the convoy system, the U-Boats had a field day. At our best we had a partnership, day bombing and night bombing, combined operations

dont forget it was the RAF Tempests and Typhoons that pulled the N**i's off your backs during the Battle of the Bulge.

I was a war baby and I remember the years of misery with tighter rationing than during the war while we paid back our inflated debt

to Uncle Sam while goodies were showered on Europe. The USA had a problem with the British Empire and still sometimes the old colonial

conflict shows through even after all these years.

Still, after all there is more to unite us than divides us, let us celebrate our common heritage. Thanks to BREXIT a bit less German influence ?

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas over there ,turn down the conspicuous consumption and help to save the planet for our kids

C*****e c****e activism really does seem very much like a religion at this point.

You have original sin: carbon dioxide production

You have the church telling you that only through redemption can you atone for the original sin: the earth as we know it will end in a heart beat, the wrath of an atmosphere scorned.

You have a path to redemption: stop improving your life with processes that generate CO2 and punish those who don't follow suit.

And you have a series of prophets whose words are to be heeded without question: Dole, AOC, Thunberg, and every talking head and Democrat who wants to vilify others.

And don't kid yourself, the leftism cult employs the same "it's us, the righteous, versus them, the tyrants who are seeking to destroy us and our children" rhetoric of Jim Jones and others.

And if the cult wins enough converts, the deliverance: government control of the entire, shrinking, failing, economy.

This is the same thinking that denies the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef, disastrous falling fish stocks and destruction of the rain forest,

it is a pity that the man who you have chosen to represent your greed and "progress at any cost" makes himself look so stupid every time he opens his mouth

Sorry to have upset you, like you I too am a Atheist and I find it hard to believe in much that the the Bible Belt Fundamentalists preach so stridently and can so confidently

distort the observable facts of the evolution of the planet and of mankind and not to become a laughing stock for so doing.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that mankind is contributing to g****l w*****g and that, unchecked our Earth is going to become a much more uncomfortable place

for our children. Greta Thunberg is one voice among many, David Attenborough to mention just one well respected global observer.

I see why you are a democrat if you think this mentally disabled girl is impressive.

Since when was "Democrat" an insult ?? Look it up in a book or dictionary any other source you like

Quote " a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives"

But then one cannot expect clear thinking from a group of people who can convince themselves that the World is 5000 years old and to be

prepared for the "second coming".........now there is a thought.........perhaps dear Donald is the big, long awaited event?

Also since when was Autism equivalent to being mentally disabled ? Some of our most gifted and accomplished people have been autistic,

Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton to name but a few

when I was a teenager in the UK we had Borstal Institutions for young offenders, strict discipline, corporal punishment, trade training. leading to employability.

National Service in the Military was also a character forming period. Enforced enlistment in the army could break the cycle of re-offending, use up some of the testosterone ?
