So sad for all.
Here it was last month at Trenton/Mercer NJ.
I saw the Jared Polen video too.
It just goes to further illustrate the point of what cell phone camera's are capable of in trained and creative hands. Technology advances are blurring the lines between cell phone and cameras. However, if you watch that video, the new iphone is not on par with a good dslr.
Great subject!! I'm just up the river near Trenton.
But it's almost too sharp. I know you wanted the detail of the girders. However, the clouds are very defined as wells as the background. Maybe that's where the cgi comments are coming from.
Where's the haze and humidity of a Philly morning? j/k!!
Do you have a nearby store where you can get your hands on those and see what you would like to help your decision?
It's not summer here without the balloon festival
I have lived in Central NJ most of my 55 yrs. NJ is a state of convenience. Beaches, mountains, NYC & Philly are give/take an hr away. There are things that are totally unique to NJ and are outstanding otherwise. Yes, it's expensive. But who said convenience ever was?
That design is an ageless classic. Pure metal art.
However, the paint and finish of that era lead to easy scratches and swirls. They really appear in dark colors. Unfortunately they show in the third photo. Short of a repaint (thus complete restoration, ka-ching!) with modern paint and finish, you have to be a maniacal enthusiast to keep that finish perfect.
