as you can see the bears are there for the buffet, there are even bears wandering in camp. It is a 1.5 mile walk to the falls. my 200-500 was helpful but the 70-300 also worked well. there is a boardwalk and deck with about 30-40 photographers at a time.

as stated yesterday I went to katmai national park and they have an abundance of bears, there for the salmon run, I am a bit disappointed my eagle pictures did not get posted today hopefully the bears will Look for summer trip,11/9/21)

Was very fortunate to go to Alaska this summer. First to Katmai , for the bears (will post later), then to Homer where I captured the image of this eagle and his friend.

how diverse, and beautiful, there was a fish kill last week and although it was cleaned up the vultures are very plentiful
