Outstanding photos. Curious as to camera, lens and the triangle Speed Aperture ISO

Many thanks, BigQ! I was using my Nikon D7200 (DX) camera with a 10 - 20 mm (DX) f4.5 - f5.6 VR (vibration reduction) lens. All at ISO (2000) with apertures of f7.1 or f8. The speed varied somewhat. The first image was shot with the lens at 14 mm (21mm ff), aperture f7.1 at 1/6 of a sec. The 4th one at 20 mm, f8 at 1/8 of a sec. I had my tripod along, but with the VR lens I feel that unless I am aiming for a shot that I might eventually want to print, I can get reasonable results by pushing the ISO and handholding the camera.

Superb series. Makes me want to visit. :)

Thank you very much, Stlawrence! You should do that. I have to mention that I spent years teaching at an institution called St. Lawrence College.

Thank you GreyOwl
I remember driving across the bridge in my 49 Ford shortly before they closed it to traffic.
You use to be able to walk all the way across the river and canal 24/7-365, but they gated the Missouri side after two girls were raped and murdered and thrown off the bridge on April 5 1991.

Yes, I remember that there was a plaque about half way across the bridge erected in honor of the two girls.

A fine set of images! Lots of color in those first two.
You mention the Chain of Rocks Canal. I vividly recall walking over the Chain of Rocks Bridge in 2015, on a trip to St. Louis. Have a photo of my daughter sitting in a really old car on the Illinois side of the bridge.

I love your early morning walk moods in your fair city, John, always a pleasure!

Thank you kindly, Joe! Appreciate your kind comments. I find the light, or lack of it, about a 1/2 hour to an hour before sunrise quite appealing. As you say, it gives a certain mood to the images.

👍🏻👍🏻. Great shots GreyOwl. The kind you can always look back on and get that “peaceful easy feeling”.

Many thanks, Bluefish! Indeed, a "peaceful easy feeling."

Nice shots. Almost makes you forget how the cold feels.

Thank you, CCPhotoist! It was actually quite warm for this time of the year. Temp was 32F, whereas normally it would be around 5F at that time of the morning with a high of about 20F.
