I use a tripod and get the light fairly low and shoot with as much contrast as reasonable. For me this gives best color contrast and shows the textures best.
I have a copy of x plane and have enjoyed. You need a fast graphics processor and memory. I suspect the new MS will be decent, x plane has a lot of development behind it and uses real physics model for flight.
It's something you enjoy or don't, IMO. I am not a fan of flying an airliner from hub to hub, in sim or RL.
There are lots of add on planes, I especially like the twin engine and single engine turboprops.
My wife laughed louder than I did!!
Couple shots from Venice one of the most photogenic spots in the Med. Gondola ride and a neighborhood on Burano. Taken during our Med trek last year.
I have taken many college baseball pictures over the years, as a fan, not a relative.
Selection of lens is critical. As one person pointed out, the long lens will be useless at the wrong spot. My long lens is not fast enough to get good nighttime pictures. Our college games are often played at night once temps pick up. Get a fast lens that can be used night and daylight.
I typically focus on what I plan to shoot, for example with a runner at first that I know likes to steal, I will focus on 2nd for a good pic opportunity. Too much of our field is blocked by net making it more of a challenge. I like to find a spot down 3rd or 1st base line in a corner that's net free. Long lens works well in that situation. The school generally has a couple of pros at most games now. Of course those guys have field access and often carry two bodies with different lenses so they are ready.
If I am shooting from the stands I typically use a mono-pod, helps a lot with stability with the long lens.
I love taking burst pics of pitcher in motion. Tried doing that with batters, but too many misses or past balls.
Know where you are on the field, know your players and lineup. Be prepared before the play.
Travel in a Miata. That will teach you what to pack.

Alabama, and earlier Kentucky, football coach Paul 'BEAR' Bryant was once asked to contribute $10 to help pay for a sportswriter's funeral. According to legend, he said, "Here's a twenty, bury two."
That's funny (Alabama fan).
I rode in USAF SAC huey's for four years. Never had an engine failure, too much paperwork, not allowed :)
We guarded Missouri from the invasion of the communist hordes. Quite successfully, never saw any around.
Don't agree with any govt providing masks (8), except in emergency. Creating standards like they do for hand sanitizer seems like a good idea, as long as that effort does not derail entrepreneurs. Govt is good at taking forever and creating a monster. Govt does not provide folks with a coat for those that need them during winter.
62 Graduate. Lived on the east coast in and around Virginia Beach VA. We also had a car culture and the proximity to the beach was central to my growing up. I never had anything special until much later and gravitated to 2 seat ragtops, still have two. Good friend had a 56 Ford with a big Ford V8; another friend got one of those factory Ford 390's. In college a musician buddy drove a Vette he earned from his trumpet.
Great memories from cruising at the beach. Another friend had access to a cottage, as a result spent many weekends at the beach. Never got arrested or caught :)
If JIP purchased camera division for a bargain basement price with intent to sell off technology and make $$ then it's hard to believe Olympus didn't do that first without the transaction cost.
If JIP plans to have a camera division, then all is well.
Logic makes me believe that JIP plans for Olympus to be an ongoing business, only thing that makes sense to me. Sure there will be change.
Yes, I have Olympus equipment.

Me too. Never drive with top up, unless it’s pouring.
