Page 14 - Frankie: I can only imagine the delight your aunt will have when she sees the Quilt. That is a special use of old photographs. Pookie looks so comfortable, I assumed your music put him to sleep!! Thanks for posting.

Page 14 - jjadeco25: Quirky friends certainly does count! That overlook would be a photographer's paradise! The kitty Qualifies too, it is airborne!! Thanks for posting.

Page 14 - -Georgiann: Queen of Red is special because she is also an UHH Queen. Glad you can spend some time with a photography friend. Thanks for posting.

Page 14 - littlebiddle: What a way to complete the circle! Those are some marvelous and great big quilts. Each design is so unique. The Noah's Ark one is interesting the way they took different size animal pieces and got them all to fit together within two rows. I can't even imagine how to piece that flower! They are all so pretty and we have more Q birds and more Q cats! I think there is a Quebec landscape in there too giving RR and Fred Ann a run for their money!! I bet Leslie will get another idea too! I think that is the first Q butterfly posted! Each one is so unique. Thank you for sharing.

Page 15 - Hal81: It is official--they are called Quackers. We just had a funny thing reported in Minnesota. Well I think it is funny as in Queer thinking. They have decided to remove all the caution signs for Deer Crossings and Children-at-Play signs in one county because "there’s no evidence that they cause motorists to slow down, and could give parents a false sense of security." I said to my husband that I always become more alert when I see those signs because I now know this is an area for deer to cross but I rarely slow down until I see the eyes of the deer!! Quakertown Borough looks like a nice town visit. I did visit PA once. It was a pretty funny visit. We came for 02-02-02 to see Puxatonny Phil! I want to come back in nicer weather or maybe do my touring at a different time of day. It was crazy! Thanks for sharing.

Page 15 - Harvey: That Quick Cow does take some pondering. I am trying to figure out why there are 4 tubes on each side of the cow. Back when I milked cows there were only 4 total per cow!! LOL
Quiet Waters is very inviting and peaceful looking. If you aren't Quick with those hot dogs there will be no cooking fuel left. I hope that was a training mission and not a real loss to a family. Thanks for sharing.

Page 15 - hamtrack: "I put a slide show together of Iowa Barns for a Camera Club I belong in and my wife and I both grew up in Iowa, so we took a week and just meandered over the state and shot photos." I grew up in Iowa too. My sister and her husband have been traveling all over Iowa to photograph round barns. If you are going to show the slide show, let me know, I might be down there visiting. Thanks for sharing.

Page 15 - Ann: My mother always said, "I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day". Your mother-in-laws Quilt to you screams Love, even though her mouth could not say it. P.S. was she German? Thanks for sharing.

Page 15 - Fred Ann: What a wonderful idea to name each Quilt and what a perfect name for this Quilt with the color selection and the intended use. I have a small Guilt in the car too but it does not have a name or a good history (the previous owner got it as a gift and did not want it.) I think I shall change that by giving it a name. Thanks for sharing and thanks for giving me an idea.

Page 15 - SimpleSimon: I was trying to figure out how to get a Question mark into the Q's. Yours is perfect!! Thanks so much for sharing and thanks so much for joining us on UHH.
Page 14 - Frankie: I can only imagine the delight ... (show quote)

AnnaCady: Thank you for your comments. Pookie, I think was just a little jealous of my holding that "thing in my lap"...so decided to sleep in its "bed"!! ;D

Very cute pix of Pookie! Funny :wink:pg14

Thank you, JudyJ. She is such a rotten little thing....I guess I was paying that "thing" in my "lap" too much attention so she decided to sleep in its "bed".

The scrapbook quilt is a wonderful idea!!!. I love all the products one can buy to enhance quilt making. I have used pictures on a quilt once for my five year old grandson. It personalized it so well for him! as yours does for your aunt.A quilt in the making is a monarch butterfly quilt using pictures showing the different stages of metamorphosis, I have the pictures and the fabric too. I love going to a fabric shop. It seems you can find most anything to suit your needs. Like when I decided to create a loon, it was such fun shopping for the fabric. It seems that your quilt has been quilted with love and memories. A 90th birthday has to be a very special day and your quilt will make your aunt's even more so.thanks for sharing this wonderful scrapbook and your very creative idea.
The scrapbook quilt is a wonderful idea!!!. I lov... (show quote)

Fred Ann, your butterfly quilt sounds very unique...you will have post a pic of it when you finish it. I found a pattern for a butterfly quilt that I want to make (when I get up enough nerve). The butterflies are made from handkerchiefs. I am going to tackle it one day!!

OK, Here are some more of the Quilts! My sister in law taught Quilting as a School Teacher and when she retired she opened her own shop. Some of the kids she taught in school now have kids that she is teaching in her home!

Oh, my goodness....those quilts are amazing!!!

Frankie, I have to comment on that wonderful quilt. What a great idea. Very funny of Pookie in the guitar case.

Thank you, Markar...my daughter and I have made quite a few of those quilts and they are always a hit! I guess that was her way of getting my attention......who knows!! She is rotten ;)

Great job on the Q's everyone. Creativity abounds here on UHH.....so many wonderful talented people here!!

I enjoyed all of your pics and thought I'd add a few of my own to the mix. The first shot is of (what I call) a "scrapbook quilt" that I am making for my aunt...haven't quite finished it yet but thought I'd post it anyway. It is a gift for her 90th birthday which will be Nov. 15th. It has lots of old family photos on it (that's why I call it a "scrapbook quilt"). I can hardly wait to see her open it!!
The other two are of Pookie "Q"uietly listening/resting in my guitar case.

This one is not a bench, Annette, I took this picture with you in mind. I wanted you to be able to "sit" on that swing and enjoy the breathtaking view and feel God's peace as you gaze upon his handiwork. I love you, my friend...what an inspiration you are to all of us.

May God's peace rest upon you

Annette, you are such a huge part of this UHH challenge and your presence here is sorely missed. We have met only here on the Hog but I know that you are a beautiful person because that beauty shines through on these challenges with wonderful words of kindness and encouragement for everyone. I, like so many others, cannot pass by a bench without thoughts of you and they call out to me to be photographed. Benches now, to me, are a representation of friendship...I thank you for that.
You have traveled with me this summer, my friend, and here are a few benches from places "we" have been....and with these pictures I am sending a prayer that God gives you sweet peace.

This one was in Savannah, Ga.

So sad to hear the news about Annette. Many of our lives have been affected by this awful disease but it seems that it has been particularly hard on Annette and her family. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family members.
I was in Tennessee last week and when I saw these benches I thought of Annette (as I always do when I see a bench). With these pictures I wish Annette peace and freedom from pain.

Peace for Annette

Fred Ann, thank you for your comments. I thought since it is so close to Halloween it wouldn't hurt to post the little "critters"
