Thanks very much and I'll take a peek at the Topaz site. Your offer to help me is very generous and I'll take you up in this after I've gotten up to speed with the Topaz offerings.

Really exceptional!

Without specifics, what software have you adapted for this magic?

Thanks!

I think it's becoming evident all digital cameras are disposable be it 5 to 15 years because of obsolesce and design, i.e. plastics and cost of repairs. Camera's of 1970's and 60's will remain functional for another 50 years as will the lenses. A good condition of say a Nikon FM will appreciate in value and if you have been monitoring online offerings this is already evident. And it's for this reason the Leica lenses will continue to rise in value. The key is value and certainly pride of ownership which fosters photographers to seek excellence and forsaking machine gun photoshop shooting.

Any thoughts?

It's MFT, an Olympus micro 4/3ds camera. I agree using film Nikon lenses on Nikon DX and DF sensors is technically a perfect match made in Nikon heaven. It's the smaller MFT sensor that doesn't work for me.

Thanks very much. My MFT adapters are glass free. I can't figure this issue out and just maybe this issue has to do with 4/3rds sensor in the Olympus body? It's darn frustrating as I'd love to use my Nikon glass. There's one additional curious thing I will take a close look at and this is a specific m42 (Pentax) lense seems to produce sharp flare free images. Maybe it's an adapter issue with the Nikon adapter vs. the m42???

It's not really my opinion, in my case it's sharpness and obvious flare at all apertures. You're absolutely on track with the pixel vs film resolution.

Hi,

I've had disappointment using my film Nikon lenses with adapter on my Oly EM1 and EM rmk11. This holds true across the board with the 85 1.8, 50 1.2, 300 f4, 105 2.5 and I've tried several different adapters to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this and any suggestions on a fix?

Hi,

The film is Ansco 'All Weather'. It's my rather vague understanding the Ansco brand was a North American packaging for an Agfa film.

The first frame on the roll is the one I posted, it appears, or rather my guess is the film was advanced to the end with the shutter open as it was virtually black with hardly visible out of focus streaming. And even in the posted image it appears as partial multiple exposures. This suggests after the first shot someone, maybe a child decided to become a shooter.

In any event the rest of this film was without interest.

Thanks!
There's a wonderful spectrum with photography and there's always something new and exciting even if in this case rather on the old side. The Kodak 3A will have a new life despite no role film is available. I'm going to cut 4x5 film and hold in place with some tape and also do the same with enlarging paper as I'm enjoying shooting paper negs.

I'll post the results in a couple of weeks.

Thanks!

My understanding is vigorous agitation mostly increases contrast which I figured would be necessary because of the film's age. The black between the fames and the leader which should have virtually zero density so this was the basis for my thinking of physical fog from perhaps from prolonged exposure to heat. Neither roll had any issues with moisture damage. This did not surprise me as both cameras are fungus and rust free and the light seal foam is still resilient on both of them...wow!

what would be cool is to find these people and share the photo with them.

I agree and will be back there next June and will bring prints to see if I can find them now as senior adults. The before and an after at the same spot would be fun

Let me apologize for opening a new topic when it's a follow-up to a previous one. I confess to an obvious problem as I'm a old hockey puck to forums.

I processed the 2 rolls of film, the 122 Kodak Verichrome Pan 'dip & dunk' and the 120 Ansco conventionally in Microphen for 8 minutes with enthusiastic agitation.

To my surprise the 122 was hardly fogged with a single frame usable. The balance were blurred, double/triple exposed and it's apparent the photographer was not using the frame window. The photo is just what I'd hoped for and would like reactions. The 120 6x9 was almost black and this does not look like light leaks but perhaps storage conditions did this what could be physical density, any thoughts?

Thanks Rich!

I like your MG, used to race a MK2 (1622cc) with some success. Canadian rules for 'improved production' allowed extensive modifications such as a 45 DCOE Weber carburetor, ported/polished head, headers and lots of suspension mods. Trap speed at Mosport was 123mph. It was still street legal and it was here it met it's end, thank god for the roll cage and 4 point safety belts.

Best!

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and truth be known to new to all form of media things. I'm working to correct this now I'm retired. I need your advice about posting the photos. If I were to have posted them here would this be the best way for anyone interested to see them or is there a better way?

Much thanks!

Howdy, the results will be up for view Tuesday morning and I'm pleased with the 2 surviving images, one from each roll.
