I stick with a Ruggard dehumidifier for photo equipment. The door locks, but that's just for child proofing. On the road, I use Pelican cases.
Along Georgia 83, Monticello.
I sold my Nikon equipment to KEH. An F3P, an FA, and 4 nice lenses. I loved that stuff, but .needed some money. Now, after years of Nikon film, I'm Sony digital.
It's gotten out of Michigan. A Mt. Clemens Michiganer moved to Florida and got me hooked on it.
I like seeing what photo equipment others are using. Thanks for the "family picture." I originally perceived UHH as an open forum of engaged photographers willing to share and support. I'm surprised at the amount of cringeworthy, intolerant sniping at fellow members.
Opossums don't carry rabies. All mammals can get rabies, but for possums it's extremely rare due, presumably, to their unusually low body temperature. Generally a beneficial neighbor.
The one with the spring is probably a tool used to set the individual teeth on a saw. I have a couple of them.
First time I saw one of these was today when a pair were circling over our back yard. I wasn't sure what they were until later in the day I checked out today's UHH posting! Thanks!
My wife is from Dayton, saw this picture and commented she had two Ohio aunts from Dayton and Greenville - one named Opal, and the other Cricket. Quite a coincidence.
Look for a product called Deoxit made by Caig Labs. It's a product for electronics.
There is a path that allows you to walk behind the full width of the falls. You won't get soaked, but there can be mist and spray, especially if it's windy or during high water levels. I've been there, camera and all without getting equipment wet (had a jacket on to shield camera). The falls are in the Nantahala national forest and also known as Upper Cullasaja Falls.
This photo was in June 8 Upcoming Topics, gone in June 9 UHH. Where did it go?
I've been digitizing my collection (accumulation) of older film images. This was a camping vacation at the right time.
Not planned. Just her favorite hat. We were out looking at orchids on the porch.
