Might be helpful to know where this is.
Bob,
Thank you for explaining that depth of field does NOT change just because a lens is used on a crop-sensor camera. Yes, field of view changes, but too many people think all these other mystical things happen when the sensor is smaller.
And I also really miss dof markings on lenses, along with split-prism focusing.
And Kodachrome.
Dave
How about moving down the road so you can see both positions? Maybe 100 or 150 feet.
What is a picture of your deck from the living room?
One of the places I want to get back to.
Out of curiosity, what scanner?
I had some scanned and printed at Costco a few years back. They came out quite good and weren't that expensive. Of course, in volume, it might be too expensive.

I remember HSE as ASA 160. But you could push it to ASA 400 and get the ESP1 mailer and send it to Kodak.
I find this sad, although probably inevitable. Magazines have a hard time in the digital world. When I first started in photography back in the '70s, I bought Popular Photography, Modern Photography, occasionally Petersen's Photographic, and anything else that caught my interest. They were a source of much inspiration. But it was nice having a physical photo to look at. My phone just doesn't have the same ability.
Oh, well.
