Hello, Newbie Rick here. I am taking the grandkids from Detroit via Las Vegas to Highway 1. I would appreciate ideas for shoots and accommodations along the way. We will spend 4 nights on this part of the trip. Thanks in advance, Rick

Might want to check and see if the slides have been cleared.

First photo looks like the one that is/was on the USPS stamps. I like it.

I don't think there is a Lamberts in Springfield. They are in Sikeston, Ozark, & Foley, Alabama. The Ozark one is just a throwed roll south of Springfield though.

Not in Springfield but as you say--close--I have eaten in all three and they are all good. Worth the drive to Ozark!

Used to hook (climb) those and with the knots you needed to watch where you placed your spikes.
They are generally hard and will not allow you to get too far into them and they sometimes popped out and left you hanging.

A view of Sedona from Schnebly Hill Road. Located in northern Arizona, Schnebly Hill Road is one of the most well-known and scenic routes in the Sedona area, with twists and turns, steep cliffs, wash out areas and great views from the pull off spots.

It's one of the premier drives in Arizona. This infamous road is tightly hairpinned and unpaved, an exquisite winding mountain drive with sharp and blind curves and hairpin switchbacks leading you over the mountains. Also known as FS Road 153, it's a steep, twisty, unpaved and wonderfully scenic route that drops more than 2,000 feet from a wooded mesa just South of Flagstaff into the wonderland of Sedona. If you decide to drive it, make sure you drive a high-clearance SUV!!

Rover, You are correct in that it is a beautiful drive. The original intent of the road was to move cattle to and from the high country for the changing seasons.
Went through there in a 1985 Chevy Crew cab 1 ton pickup with no trouble. We stayed at Black Bart's Campground in Flagstaff and made it a daytrip. (several times thru the years). Black Bart's also has a restaurant with good food and the college students were the waiters/waitress' and the entertainment. The steaks were cooked on Oak. I especially liked the mushroom appetizer. I made a meal of them. Excellent!

I have a Nikon D810 - when I take photos they look great on the screen on the back of camera, until I import them, I have adjusted the brightness of the viewing screen on the back of the camera, then when I import from the card they are darker, then into LightRoom, they look fine until they have loaded then when they have finished loading the actual exposure is a lot darker.

I know I must be doing something wrong but just can't put my finger on it, can anyo0ne help me on this please as I am not sure if it is a camera issue, a lightroom issue or just me being stupid. Thank you hogs.

Linda, I had a problem with my D810 pictures being dark when downloaded. What I finally figured out is that the auto iso was on and setting the iso by the numbers was limiting the camera to that setting. I turned auto iso off, set the iso to what I wanted and it cleared my problem. The pictures looked good on the camera's screen but downloaded dark. Histogram was definitely to the left. MorrisT

I don't much care for Windows 10 Photo Editor, because the CRAP feature, Craps all 4 sides at once. Therefore it is CRAP.
But I found the filters have a little room to play with, as you can apply it as heavy or thin as you like?
when these were applied, the picture almost went monochrome. So then I backed them off to 30% for the vanilla, and 25% for the slate.

I like the slate picture (2nd) as the rocks in that picture are much more pronounced and clearer.

It appears that it is getting more difficult to get replacement ink for my Epson printer. The cartridges used to be carried by Costco, and no longer are, Staples has to order them for me (69). I always complained that replacing a set of cartridges was almost as expensive as buying a new printer anyway. I will soon be looking for a new printer. Having researched dye versus ink, I think I like the idea of dye printers. Any suggestions for a new printer, one perhaps where replacing the dyes won't be as expensive as a new printer? I use the scanner occasionally, and have my printer connected by wifi.
