What about using the timer to give you time to focus on just stability after pressing the button?

I also think you may be able to use a wireless remote in one hand while using the other hand and a face support to steady the camera. You could still use the side of your hand or even your forearm that is holding the remote to further steady the camera.

I feel for you, my father-in-law has Parkinson's and he is getting therapy in addition to medicine to help him with his fine motor control. If seems to be helping, but he is still finding many things he used to do, difficult.

We use Black Magic studio/micro studio 4k cameras and you will have issues using adapted Nikon lenses if you plan to use autofocus. Auto focus is not a strong suit of any of the Black Magic cameras and Nikon lenses do not adapt very well to other platforms for the autofocus function. You will have better luck with MFT or Canon lenses.

The Black Magic Cameras are also not as good in low light (more noise) as the latest Panasonic or Sony offerings.

With enough light, they do produce great images and the new video codecs are great.

Both the photos and the video are beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.

I will also recommend the Sony RX10 IV.

I have a Nikon D5500 and a Tamron 18-270 that I used to use for walk around. The Sony is lighter and more versatile.

The Sony is not quite as good in low light, but it focuses much better/faster, has similar IQ, and is way better with video.

Toastmasters will help you more than anything else I have experienced. They combine reading materials, training, & regular practical experience with mentoring.

You will probably find that you fit in with one group over another, so visit a few before making a final decision.

Premiere Elements and Premiere Pro are two different programs.

I use both due to my work not wanting to spend the money for Pro.

Premiere Elements has a lot of limitations. Premiere Pro CC is much much better.

I would recommend against committing to taking a lot of pictures for the wedding. Maybe you just take a point & shoot or your Fujifilm X100F and take some random shots as time permits.

I agreed to shoot our son's wedding as the only photographer last year due to financial constraints and things were just crazy. You can not be a good host and a good photographer at the same time. I tried and did much poorer than normal at both.

I have taken pictures and done video at other people's weddings as a backup and as the primary photographer/videographer, but it is not the same as doing it at your own child's wedding.

At the previous two weddings for other children, I took a few random shots like you are talking about, but didn't take a bunch of equipment. That worked out much better, but the photos I took would not replace what the pro took. I only got a few candid shots at the rehearsal and reception.

I was 15 in 52'. Almost all cars had radios and most had automatic transmissions. By 52', TV was common. In 49', my dad had a 98 Olds. It went 100+ mph. In 52' practically all rural areas had electricity.

Perhaps you are thinking of another year?

I think part of it depended on where you lived. I am too young for the fifties, but I remember the late sixties and many people I knew, including us, did not have a TV. Many did not have a phone yet and party lines were still common for those who did. A lot of people still drove cars without radios, power steering or brakes. I also knew people that lived in areas without electricity or running water.

Things have changed so much in the last 100 years and are changing even faster today. The iPhone just celebrated their tenth anniversary, yet many today can not imagine life without their smart phone.

I'm not that familiar with Macs, but this might work:

They even have instructions on how to install on High Sierra

Good Luck!

Moment lenses are the best that I have used, but they are not clip on. They sell a case that has a mount for the lens.

Considering that you already have a mirrorless camera, you might want to consider the Sony A7RIII with Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM, Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM Lens, Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens, Sony FE 2.0x extender.

You will give up 600 mm, but the higher megapixel count will make up for it. Also, you will have to buy used to get close to your budget. You could optionally get a metabones adapter and buy some canon lenses for less money.
