With you 100%!

Being a somewhat AR person, only slightly obsessed with details, I looked up the difference. Merriam-Webster establishes dinner as "the principal meal of the day." Supper, on the other hand, has three definitions:

- The evening meal when dinner is taken at mid-day.
- A light meal served late in the evening.
- An evening social especially for raising funds. (think: a church supper or social supper).

So, in view of the latter, maybe my $20 a person wasn't that far out.

The name of the picture is the reason I will always call it "Supper". I never heard it called "The Last Dinner".

Did someone call it "The Last Dinner?"

Almost more amusing - I'll bet there are some young people who won't recognize what the customer is holding

Three cities?

If you can find a copy, read "the Great Siege of 1565" by Bradford - a fabulous read and will provide great perspective on the battlements and fortifications around the island - some of the bastions are greater than 80ft thick (that is eighty not at a typo).

I've been lucky enough to travel extensively - some 50 countries so far - and you will be hard pushed to find anywhere with as much history jam packed into a tiny space. Attractions range from neolithic temples (visits are tightly controlled to the underground portions so it is probably already too late to book), through invasions (some attempts and some successful) by nearly everybody, all the way to WW2 when Malta played a key role. To the best of my knowledge, it it one of the few countries in the world that has been given a medal - the George Cross, Britains highest honor for civilians, following WW2, hence the GC that used to be used after its name.

How tiny? The city of Valetta is just one square mile ( don't miss St John's Co-Cathedral, the silver gates, the Caravaggio's are spectacular, and The Armory, while tiny is simply extraordinary). The entire country is just 123 square miles, 17 miles by 9 along its longest axes IIRC.

Although the island is small, traffic is dense and getting from A to B takes longer than you might expect.

I grew up in Malta, from about age 10 to 18, but that was a little while ago, and a lot has changed.

As long as the shaft isn't too smooth and there wasn't too much friction acting against the wheel causing acceleration between shaft and wheel, epoxy would probably work.

An entire 20 seconds of research went into finding these... https://www.mcmaster.com/products/retainers/shaft-collars-2~/system-of-measurement~metric/shaft-diameter~5-mm/

or something similar to these: https://www.mcmaster.com/products/retaining-rings/push-on-retaining-caps-6/

If you have access to making the parts (or maybe there's something available on McMaster - there usually is) you could consider locking the wheel in place with a sleeve either side, each sleeve having a locking grub screw. The sleeves (or flanges) would be mounted such that the grub screws are 180° from each other.

To be absolutely grammatically correct, the two key words should have been in either italics or quotation marks. Still, it was clever.

Then it wouldn't have worked.

It always cracks me up - here in the US we aren't very good at puns or witticisms, so anything like a pun has to be underlined three times, in bold and in a different font to ensure people see it.

I remember posting my avatar and someone commented that I'd cut the bottom off, and there was almost a competition to guess what it might have said.

The VERY large curved monitors are primarily aimed at gamers and for that purpose they make sense.

There's a local engineering design studio in which some of their guys have up to six screens. One desk has four large curved screens mounted vertically with a pair of curved 24s mounted horizontally. Outlook on one of the 24s, Excel on the other.

I recall reading that the latest fancy curved screen is around $1800 and 48" wide, so there won't be one on my desk.

Are they in the US? Nord is in Panama and they are based in Lithuania I think. They use AI when you sign up and when you ask a question it's not programmed to answer much. I refuse to do business with a computer.

And just in case you aren't going to read the article, here's the salient point:

"Bottom Line

"One of the better-known VPNs, NordVPN's Panama headquarters makes it a top choice for the privacy-concerned, as Panama isn't a member of any international surveillance alliances. On top of that, NordVPN has some of the best security and privacy features, including Double VPN and Onion Over VPN."

The entire point of a VPN is, to the greatest extent possible, to be outwith the reach of government, your ISP & other snoopers, protecting & shielding the user from prying eyes. For this purpose, Panama is close to ideal. Someplace within the US or it's territories or allies would be the antithesis of that.

Speaking personally, entirely too many lapses of judgement, but MY judgement, MY responsibility.
