Morning. Seems like Sunday is the day to do laundry. I often do a load a day and will be doing that today just like you all.

When I was growing up we didn't do anything on Sunday's. How things have changed.

Chicken thighs today, with garlic butter shoved under the skin, sauté pots and veg for himself. Not very hungry but got to be seen eating something. Got some ground lamb out for tomorrow although not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. xx

Do you google your recipes? Bet there's something wonderful you can do with ground lamb... what's a saute pot, a stir fry? xox

Good morning, it's a chilly 6C but looks like the sun will be out today. The crazy woodpecker that drills on the metal light standard is back, of course probably a new generation. This is the first time Max has heard it, so all morning he's been growling! I'm being gifted three hydrangea's so today will make a spot for them. The dogwoods are in flower and busting out all over. I usually park my car near one of them, and some "dirty bird" has been leaving deposits all over it this week. Off for my morning walk. Wishing you all a good weekend. xoxo

We will see. He is up and down. It seems we take turns. When one is up the other is down. Hoping we have a stretch where both of us are up.

Those days are to be enjoyed and treasured. Hoping you both get to share them soon.

Not just different each day. This morning was warm and sunny. This afternoon is cold and wet.

That's true, I got my daily coat on yesterday for walking in the a.m. and had to switch to rain gear 15 minutes later.

And you thought your sight was OK? xxx

He was in a shadow, these new implants don't do darker areas like normal vision unfortunately. Worse at night. Would never have gotten them if I had been properly advised of it. Previously I got in a habit of looking at my feet when I was walking, as glancing at everything else caused floaters that couldn't be blinked away, that problem is gone now. oxo

You eye sight improved, but you almost walked into a elk? Glad you think there is good improvement.

I was watching the road instead of looking up.. studying plants along the way! I rarely walk the neighbourhood, it was a treat.

Off to the eye surgeon this morning, hope it will be the last of my appointments. My vision is much better and I think we will both agree I can evade having surgery. Heading to Nanaimo, maybe will pick up some Nanaimo bars as I haven't had one for years. Yesterday on my walk home I wasn't watching where I was going and just about walked into an elk, we were both surprised.. xoxo

I am thinking of shepherd pie, chili, or spaghetti. My favorites but I deserve a treat after days of bean soup. The weather is lovely and I should not be thinking of cold weather meals. Hoping you energy level picks up. A cuppa often perks me up amazingly well. Or a box of chocolate might have the same effect.

Yes, you need a treat!

We quite often have the same base meat for a few days or more but I doctor it differently every day so it tastes like a new meal. xx

I alternate eggs a couple times a week. Learned something I didn't know, my house guest made scrabbled eggs the other day and used carbonated water in them. They were the fluffiest light scrambled eggs I've ever eaten! Served with black rye bread, I love caraway. xoxo

I''m going to sign off now. DD opened the back door and called "nuts" and every squirrel at the back of the yard came running for the door. She has them trained They got a bunch of peanuts as reward. I'm going to throw some sunflower seeds out for them and the birds.
Everyone have a good day and stay safe and well, or get better soon.

You could start a circus! xoxo

What do you use the spring water for? I have noticed lately we are spending a lot on drinking water. All our faucets have soft water. I was buying the store brand drinking water until I realized that also had sodium in it. Buying the brand that is almost sodium free and most expensive.

This reminded me I need to get a gallon of distilled water. I have a Venus fly trap that can't have minerals or fertilizer in the water.. it derives those from flies. It's not fly season yet and Igor is hungry!

Hope everyone is doing well today. Have had my share of exercise today having walked back from the garage 4 blocks away and returning to pick up my car. Summer tires are back on. All the fresh air is making me sleepy today, I could fall asleep as I write. Forgive me.. I'll be more alert tomorrow! xoxo
