Will they re-name Prescott after me???

I posted on next door and one of the long time residents responded that the rock formation is "affectionately known as aunt Jemima or Mrs. Butterworth." So I'm guessing no. But I would have never noticed it if you hadn't asked!

I agree with your wife, my first thought when I saw that picture was a syrup bottle.

I found out on Next Door that the locals had referred to it as Aunt Jemima or Mrs. Butterworth.

More beautiful work, Larry! In the kayak again?

Yes, taking a break today, but it is enabling me to get to places I normally couldn't. I'll probably be enthusiastic about it until I drop my camera in the water!

Really great set. Is that up by Prescott?
I've never been there

Yes all from Prescott. If you do come up here there are several parks, Federal, State and City. They are at different elevations, so each one has a distinct characteristic.

I posted on next door to see if anyone has ever noticed it. I went back today, I don't think you can see it anyother way but from the water. I would be a difficult hike to get to the formation

Retired CPO asked about the rock formation. I couldn't unsee it after he mentioned it, so I had to go back this morning. It was a sunny start but by 11:30 it started to rain . Lots of shots, heres a few quickies.

Retired CPO's Lovely Lady. My wife thinks it looks like a syrup bottle.

GREAT JOB LMG!! You stared down a Canadian Gate Keeper, rassled your yak into the water, explored water and depths others are reluctant to approach- AND! Brought home photos of your adventure!
You will enjoy your kayak- great for "alone" time, muscle toning and a different perspective… my only suggestion is to add an Olympus TG-6 or TG-7 to the mix- not that it makes better pictures than your phone (I think it does) but, by being waterproof, it’s not afraid of splashes or drips and is always at the ready; literally, two seconds from seeing a great subject to pressing the shutter. Clip on a floating wrist strap and who cares if you drop it overboard… it works underwater, too!
GREAT JOB LMG!! You stared down a Canadian Gate K... (show quote)

The only shot taken with my phone was of the Kayak. I used a Sony A1 while on the Kayak. Not waterproof but the Kayak is pretty stable. It probably is just a matter of time before one of my cameras visit Davy Jone's locker! Thanks for the heads up on the Olympus. Could have used that in the Galapagos, I had a Gopro for underwater shots, The Olympus sounds like it would have been a better choice

Great perspective, Larry! There are kayak trolleys and carts.

Thanks Mike. I do have a cart, but the big problem it getting it to the roof of the SUV. Its a little over 65 pounds and 11 feet long. This morning I had better luck, I may get a trailer for it

Really nice set. The first must have been watching you. Curious about number 4 also.

The geese escorted me in this morning. I didn't see the image of a woman in the rocks, but it is there. I went back this morning in different light and now I can't unsee it.

Every year I make one big purchase to support my photography jones. It's usually a lens or sometimes a new camera body. I have never posted pictures of my equipment, or for that matter taken pictures of it. Before I set out this morning on my maiden voyage I sent a cell phone pic to my wife. These are a few shots from todays outing. I missed the sunrise, it took me about an hour to get the Kayak off the car and to the lake. It was my first time and I wasn't to graceful getting it off the roof of my SUV. It weighs about 65 pounds without the seat and peddle drive in place. Getting it back on the SUV was a bit more difficult, gravity is not my friend. What I can say is after I get the transportation thing down this little boat will be great. I was able to shoot while navigating around the rocks, and never a need for the paddle.

No lead here but I was surprized that guy found and room to dig let alone find that much dirt.

You took very nice photos.

Thanks,I totally get your circumstance, I can see how much destruction one can do. If I had livestock or landscaping I'm certain he'd end up in the great beyond.
