I use full sensor appropriately sized swabs and methanol. The spots persisted with non-methanol cleaners but the methanol finally got it all. They make a fuss about it being flammable but I just happen to have a practice of avoiding flames, lighters and matches near my sensor. I'm just funny that way. Do it yourself, it's not hard.

I use auto iso when faced with rapidly changing light conditions and it is more important to get the shot. When I am set up on a tripod, I try to keep it at 100 for landscapes. I go to 2000 for astro shots. When I handhold for wildlife shooting, I use auto iso because clouds go across the sun, the bird flies into a dark spot and then to a light spots and I can't be always fiddling with iso settings. I use 2000 handheld for indoor basketball games. I use auto iso for family shots in a relative's house or in a restaurant. In low light situations, I use 1/100 with a 50 mm at F/2.8 and set iso to auto.

Whenever you introduce the genitals that crosses a line for many, not me though. But for many. I looked up vulgar just to flesh it out, (no pun intended)

lacking sophistication or good taste; unrefined.

I personally would objectively judge them vulgar. For my taste they are just not pleasant, in good taste or refined. They're a bit jarring and in your face, uncomfortable, the first one is especially dark and nasty and for the second one, as much as I love many renditions of the female buttocks, I don't enjoy evidence of skin trauma. Like the other poster said, guess it's just not my thing. I think there is small audience that enjoys S&M but that is a pretty small audience. Most other folks would think they were vulgar. IMHO

The arm is fine. It's a peekaboo shot. We are sitting beside her just talking and are treated to a heavenly view with a quick illicit glance to our right that she doesn't notice or pretends not to. Genius. The arm is a big part of the story. It's a casual conversation, she's not going to keep them out in the open to distract and arouse you, you're friends after all.

I find it Very Useful to use the adjustment brush to change the exposure in the Develop Module of Lightroom. I shoot Raw and can use the brush to lighten (or darken) exposure in certain areas of my photos with Amazing results! Anyone else?

It is a very effective tool for "local edits" which are edits of particular areas of a photo as opposed to "global edits" which used in a ham fisted way affect the entire images instead of just working on the parts of the image that could use work. You are definitely on the right path because the best editors discourage the use of global edits. Other local edits are gradient filter, radial filter, split toning and tone curve, all used to manipulate particular parts of an image without affecting others.

I must have seen millions of images of soft core portraits and never, ever this pose. She has a beautiful body, sizeable, but firm breasts and is engaging with camera nicely. Seems like an adventurous gal that you could have a lot of fun with. I doubt there is a pose she would refuse. I hope you took advantage of that. The image displays what is so lovely about women; their abundance of graceful curves, soft curves all over their bodies. Her breasts, her calves, her arms, belly, thighs and butt. It is a very pleasing shot worth a careful long look.

Thank-You Linda, I myself only got it from the generous providers of you tube. The hard part is gathering all the stuff and actually executing it!

I didn't look at the dng, but the first (blue-toned) jpg is mesmerizing! There must be a color space discrepancy because the download is much more to aqua-turquoise while I'm seeing the thumbnail as purplish. I actually prefer the thumbnail colors

Thanks so much for taking the time time to explain your setup and editing.

Pat, these are stunning. Great job. I'm on my cell phone right now and do not see the color shift Linda sees.

Thanks for sharing these and the way you did it.

For this image I set up a table with a small shot glass, put a stick of incense in the glass and and lit it. Behind the table was a sheet of black vinyl paper as it is called. I have a flash outfitted with a magmod system and this was mounted to the magmod grid to focus the light tightly. The flash was very close to the column of smoke and placed to the side at 90 degrees to the camera. I took hundreds of shots with the following:
Canon 6D Mark II
Canon 24-105 kit lens shot at the full extension of 105 mm
Shutter speed was 1/160 in keeping with 6D II flash sync speed
ISO 200
F/8 because that is the sweet spot for this lens and I wanted good DOF through and through the smoke

Out of the hundreds of shots I chose the ones with the most discernible shapes. After selecting a shot, I did basic edits in lightroom and then took it into lightroom to add a hue and saturation layer and then added a gradient layer, choosing this pre designed color pattern in Photoshop.

On Thursday it took first place for intermediate pictorial and best image of the month dozens of other shots that night at my local camera club so I was pretty psyched!
