I was experimenting with the Photoshop neural filters.
Took these in Pendleton, SC. The crop was not as full this year due to hot temps and lack of rainfall but there are always photogenic blooms to be had. Our photo club had a nice outing there!
I was shooting on a golf course and noticed this guy roosting on a birdhouse that was on a post within a small pond. Set my camera to continuous shooting to get him during takeoff as I approached.
Taken a few years ago when visiting Bonita Springs, FL.
Wife brought these in from the yard for our table so I took a few shots.
Checkout the Canon Pixma Pro-100. Excellent results. Package of 5 ink cartridges are about $80 for Canon inks. Cheaper for second sources ink but I stick to OEM.

Even though the third photo looks like a composite, I like it over the other two.
Nice job.
Yes, my focus on the first one was disappointing. It is very touchy focusing at the extremes zooms.
During a recent trip to Ft Myers, I checked PhotoPills to see where the full moon would set at the fishing pier. I wanted to get it over the end of the pier where most fishermen gather. I went an early morning on the day the moon was expected to set more over the mid-pier structure. This went well and even got a couple of birds in silhouette against the moon. I should state that I was using a100-400 mm lens with a 1.4 extender (560mm effective). I had to position myself down the beach to get the moon in the right spot as it came down. I went again the following day to get it at the end of the pier. Unfortunately, the fog along with the rising sun essentially block out the moon before reaching the pier. You can see from the vertical shot where the moon was higher but on a good trail down to the pier. I had taken a separate shot of the moon while it was higher. So, I used that shot plus a separate shot of the end of the pier to create what I hoped to get with a single exposure ( using Photoshop). Sometimes nature cooperates, sometimes not! 😊

Excellent images, Russ! If not HDR, what processing was used?
Stan
Just used a single image. In processing I use Lightroom, NIK Color Effects, Photoshop, and Topaz Labs. Much can be done in Lightroom now especially with the recent masking capability but have a few favorite filters in the other apps.
Here are a couple of images taken in 2020 along Rockport harbor ( MA).
