Yes our herd now is around thirteen hundred in at least five counties . Doing very well !

You are correct . Just a couple things I observed . Mornings can be good except quite often its very foggy in this area and really fights are rare . Intimidation is the first line of defense . Posturing , staring , raking the ground , running eye to eye all these and if that fails well its a fight . But even the a cow has to be mewing giving the sign she is in Estrus (Heat ) They dont want to fight but if thats what it takes bring it on !
The elk rut is on here in the east as competition for the ladies heats up
