Thank you for the kind words Jim. All of these were taken with a D7100 Nikon and Tamron 70-200 F2.8. Pic 3 settings were 1/200 @F5, ISO 100 with a light fill flash, Pics 1 and 2 were shot at 1/800 @F2.8,
ISO 140. Light Edits in LR.

I managed a few of this Pileated Woodpecker near our home. He graced me with his presence on the sun side of this tree about an hour before sunset :-). Thanks for looking.

For my birthday my wife bought me a Tamron 70-200-F2.8 SP VC. Needless to say I was elated. I haven't had much time to play with it over the last few days but I managed to spend some time with our youngest daughter Lydia (8 months) last night and so far I am very pleased. The focus is very fast and the IQ also seems to be great. Thanks in advance for looking!

I have and use both the 35 F1.8 (DX) and the 50 F1.8G on a nikon D7100 and formerly on a D3200. Both are optically outstanding and produce sharp images with rich color. If I could only choose one I would go for the 35mm. The 50mm is too tight for group shots indoors and not wide enough for landscape either. Either can be rented online but used 35mm F1.8's are really reasonable to buy. Just my $.02. Good luck.
