Cool shot!

Download and hit enlarge sure enhanced the sparkle.

Thank you Highplains Coyote. Glad you liked it. I'll have to learn to check that and suggest looking at the download when necessary. The thumbnails do lessen the impact on some photos.

Cool shot Don ;) The red branches are a good contrast with the snow. Very good capture. :D

Thank you Sylvias. With the touch of blue sky, it could be a bit patriotic too. I was going to eliminate the blurred tree in the left background but decided it added to the winter effect.

What a find!! one of Natures Creations
Only a photographer would appreciate that
I love the mysterious fingers holding it

Thanks SENSORLOUPE. I agree this is a 'problem' of enjoying photography. Going for the mail with a camera in hand can become an hour long playtime. 'Things' keep jumping out everywhere and just can't be ignored.

Apt name for it, I like it's sparkle.

Thanks. Being a PP neophyte, sparkle is a work in progress. Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice one dasphoto..looks like the "Diamond" is being held by skeletal fingers!!

Thank you Doddy. You're right it is skeletal. Of the 3 bushes we have, that was the only one that 'grabbed' the snow like that.

Thanks Bill_de,
I debated cropping it but liked the added color. Thanks for your comment!

The recent snowfall left this arrangement on a twig of a red stick dogwood. The interplay of the sparkling snow and the tips of the dormant buds reminded me of diamond setting. Hope you enjoy this 'Winter Diamond'.

When the kid is bigger than the parent, time to cut the chords !!!

That seems to take at least 3 days with each brood. Mom and Dad are at it full time with a nest of 4.
