Not sure where that comment is going. There are alpha photographers who DO own the 'best' ($$$$$) equipment. I can afford to buy the best for my usage, but spending a ton of money on a hobby wouldn't make sense. I have more vital things to keep a nest egg for.

Seems the issue isn't about the money, but more about the grass being greener on the other side of the fence.

I can buy a Lamborghini to drive 5 miles to work.

Not necessary,
but it sure would make me feel good!

You just need to support the lens and let the camera hang on it.

Kinda hard with the camera on a tripod (no foot on the lens)?

I agree. I have several photos made with 12 and 24MP cameras. I am satisfied with the results of both.

I bet you can tell the difference in certain prints.

Only if there is something with which to compare.
Individuals, not so much.

I am loving the 9:16 ratio on the S24+, since it lends itself to landscape, but haven't tried in-camera panos yet. I am still trying to find out if there is a way to upload RAW from the S24+ to Lightroom. Checked a lot of Youtube videos, but came up empty so far.

The Z5 is so different from the D750 when it comes to AEB, which I use a lot. Hope I don't miss out on any shots while dumpster diving in the menu. I did set up the U1, U2, and U3 buttons for bracketing, Milky Way, and waterfalls, but I realize I still have to remember to turn the IBIS on or off with AEB, depending on whether I handhold or not. But all in all, I think the 24-200mm lens, along with my phone, will make trips easier to manage.

Oh, I love it for landscape shots, displayed on a screen.
"Standard" paper prints, a bit troublesome.

Best is easy to define: it's better than you can afford. It creates images you wish were yours.

I have no such wishes.

And "better" is relative.

But that 1" area is actually 26 x 28mm. With that in mind, what are the 2", 3", 4" and 5" areas used for? Note that they're not to scale nor are they even proportional to each other, as can be clearly seen in the image above.

1"=2.54 cm last I knew.......
No idea for what the "inch" indicators are used.

I like what my S21 does, but I'm still getting used to the different aspect ratio.
And panos are so easy with it.
