Thanks Helen. As I said, dealing with your company has always been a great experience for me. That's why I was so surprised to see this order get so fouled up. Hopefully, I will receive the correct photo this time and my friends will be happy and enjoy their Christmas. I wish you and all my friends here on 'The Hog" a happy holiday as as well. Thanks for your reply.

I already paid for it. I'll have to trust that they will get it to me fast, as promised.

Thanks for your reply. My fingers are X'ed as well! I'm guess they just got a little too busy and screwed up. It takes at least a half hour just to get a person on the phone there.

Can't really speak to your situation specifically... but I have been using Adoramapix for about a year (Mostly 11x14 & 20x26 stuff) and have never had any problems. I have been very pleased with the quality of the prints they deliver. Keeping my fingers x'ed that they correct this asap....(& hoping it does not indicate a trend!) It was a Christmas photo snafu that caused me to drop the previous service I was using....

I recently posted a photo in the "people section." I got a lot of great feedback on it from my fellow hedgehogs. The family I did it for loved it and wanted it printed 20X24. I sent the photo to Adorama Pix to be printed, because they have a great reputation, and my experience in purchasing photo equipment from them has always been great.
The photo can be seen here...

I sent them the digital file on Nov. 30 and paid extra for 2 day shipping. I was told I would get it by today, Dec. 9th.
I received a package on Monday the 7th. I opened it and found a beautiful print. Unfortunately it was someone else's photo!
I called them Tuesday morning and was told they would rush it to me. So far all I got from them was an emailed apology with an attached shipping label for me to send back the photo. That they did very quickly.
I called again today and they still have not printed my photo. They promised me it would be in my hands by the end of the week. This photo is supposed to be a Christmas gift for the mother of these kids. They are extremely nice people, so I really am hoping they will not be disappointed by Adorama Pix.
As I said, I really like Adorama, so this was a shock to me. I'm still hoping they will get it done and shipped in a timely manner, but I thought this would be a good place to stand up and scream a little. I'll update this as things happen (or don't).

Unfortunately, I agree completely. As the saying goes, 'a mind is a terrible thing to waste'.

I hope you know that was NOT directed at you! I just don't get why he had to go after you that way. These kinds of verbal attacks are what causes some people to leave this site. This particular person appears to have the knowledge to be helpful, but he chooses to display this arrogant attitude for no good reason. He needs to get over himself or find somewhere else to troll.

Thanks for the kind words. The kids promised to send me a phone photo of her expression when she sees it.

Thank you Raymond. I cropped the photo as advised, and sent it to Adoramapix to be printed! I know they will do a great job.

Thank you Rich. After cropping as suggested by everyone, I like it even better. I'm sure the family will too.

Thanks to everyone. You guys convinced me that I should and will crop, as done by Dsp.

Thanks for your reply. Like the original, it is cropped to print at 20X24, so I can't really take much more off the top, but I see your point. As for their poses, I agree. I tried to get the boy on the left to get up on his his knees to make his shoulder closer to his sisters, but he was unable to do that. I also had to work fast because the other boy was in an uncomfortable position.
Anyway, I thank you for your suggestions and for the nice comments.

I was given the attached family portrait taken about 13 years ago by a pro photographer in a mall kiosk and asked to re make it as a gift for the mother of the 3 kids, now grown up.
The 1st photo is the original, the 2nd, my attempt at the remake.
The kids and the dad love it, Mom won't see it until Christmas, but I would love to see what my fellow hedgehogs think of it.
We had to acquire the hats and other stuff to make it work, but it was a fun project.

Original

My remake

First off if your associates (hired shooters) are inconsistent you can just fire them. Second when asking for advice if the majority if folks offer an almost identical answer you should take it and not dismiss it because 'they do not say what their activity is'.

When a photographer takes thousands of pictures during an event, any event, I seriously start to doubt the credibility of that 'photographer qualifications'. I have shot a couple of hundred of weddings in the 'good old days'. We did not mass murder the events with crappy pictures as all folks like me knew how and when to deal with specific events.

Your real problem is not 'batch correction' but training and an obvious tendency to say 'my way or else'.

Well, have it your way and please, enjoy the mediocrity. I just hope that your victims speak to others and that you so called business sinks.

You sir, are just an asshole, plain and simple.
