What a great question. I really enjoyed reading the answers.

Man I may be way out of tune here but when I first read the topic I thought that it meant Senior Pictures; In other words old folks like me!

Mogul - your explanation of what you are doing really helped me understand the context.

Remember that it was claimed that Willie Sutton said "because that's where the money is!" when asked why he robbed banks. You should ask the card manufacturers and/or their American distributors for some small capacity cards. Send them a picture of you and your locomotive and the line of visitors waiting. Maybe include a link to this UHH thread. Tell them you would be happy to give the cameraless visitors a business card saying "These memories of today's visit are courtesy of XXXXXXX". (Preferably supplied by them along with the SD cards).

I just Googled "public relations director SanDisk" and the first hit took me to his LinkedIn page. I suspect less than an hour of Googleing would turn up at least 10 or 12 people to ask directly.

I remember that several of my Canon cameras came with a 16 or 32 MB SD card - which reviewers always ridiculed because you could only get 6 or 8 pictures on them. There must be a trove of those in some warehouse somewhere. (You should probably email the request to camera company PR folks too.)

It just seems that someone in one of the camera or SD card companies would recognize the PR value of what you are trying to do.

Good luck.

I think that is a wonderful idea and I can see how it would give an excellent PR rating to a company that would take the cards and run with them.**So to speak.**

It is evident the Republicans do not want to admit the basic scandal of obstruction of legislation in the Republican House of Representives. This scandal caused the U.S. to loose its AAA credit rating, and increase our borrowing capacity for years to come, and increase the rate we borrow money. These things are not conjecture, but cold facts, and historical data.

Are you seriously foolish enough to believe that it was the Republican House that caused the downgrade and not the $16 trillion debt with no end insight to Washington's veracious appetite for spending money that there is not tax base to support? Do you really think that it was the Republican House and not Washington's refusal year after year to not deal with the economic realities of the collapse of the entitlement programs? Do you somehow excuse the Senate who has not passed a budget for over 3 years and sees the only limitation on their spending to be the National Debt limit???

ESTAS LOCO?

Having them take instant control is the best way to go. As you say protection is of the utmost. Take this suggestion from one that has worn the badge and knows perhaps a little more than most there are people out there that will take advandage and try to collect private information from you and others.
Be save!

KIT KIT...I am not a pro but I have had some experience with this type of shot. May I suggest that you take another shot in a different place. Get rid of the sign ( Helen's garden ) and perhaps place the vase outside up against the building and use sunlight getting real close to the vase perhaps shooting downward somewhat. Hopefully that will elimate the mirrored shot of you taking the picture in the background.

These type of shots look good if you play around with it a little. I prefer to NOT USE aids but just let the camera take the shot and go with that. Good luck.

Yeah if I had a clone jobber I would have removed it. I pretty much have to work with what comes out of the camera. Don't have the software to cover up mistakes like most do!

I will try my Angle picture once again but I warn you it is not what you have been seeing in here on the subject. For my thinking was going in a different direction indeed!

I just accidently caught Rita on and angle while I was playing with my camera.
"Well it is on an angle isn't it?" LOL

The stand by for my Canon 7d is my Fuji s100fs. I don't feel short changed anytime I'm carrying the Fuji.

STRANGE..that this discussion would come up at this time. I had a 10-12 year old Fuji but it was lacking in so many features and was restricted as to what I could shoot and feel good about. I am not one that is rich by any means and have to get by on what I have. I was very fortune to pick up a new S4500 30x a few days ago and I am in the process of reading and preparing to take my first pictures in the up and coming days. I can already see the difference and will submit a picture or two when I become at ease while shooting with it. Thanks for the discussion on Fuji cameras. I for one liked the old one I had and am sure I will like this one even more. How many of you in here has a camera that will not take a picture until the subject smiles? The S4500 has such a feature!!

My sister recently got married, some photographs were a a slant. The strangest thing! She said it was suppose to be that way. I can't for the life of me figure this one out. Now, I see it more and more.
I hate to use the word, "stupid looking", but that is what it looks like to me.
Obviously, I'm not a pro. Any answers? I would love to solve this mystery!
Thanks,
Cindy

Wow Cindy..you sure got a response on this one! However I am guilty of taking a few on the slant. I did it without any suggestions from anyone and matter of fact have never seen one except the few I took. Would I do it again? Perhaps depends on the background.

Arity...I have to add another one to my stable back years ago. Around 1954 I think; I bought another big long and heavy beast. A 1947 Packard. Yellow/brown four door. The steering wheel was like a white pearl color and big as one you would find on a bus. It was huge to say the least with a silver like face covering the dash. The engine would roar like a semi-truck pulling a load up a long steep hill. What memories come back to me while thinking back. Plastic? I don't even think plastic had been invented at that time.

I saw this beauty a few weeks ago and shot w/ film...

jbcarm; thanks for posting this and bringing back some sweet memories. My second car was a black 1938 Buick just like he one you have posted a picture of. That was in 1953 in Chicago. I had three or four cars soon afterwards and I sold the Buick for....
wait for it....$25.00 and on payments at that! Was I a car nut? You betchca. I called it the John Diliginer Special due to the hand rail on the back of the front seat and the little pull down curtain on the back side windows.
