That is pure crap, going to college is a choice and taking out a student loan is also a choice. How about forgiving the hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills owed by cancer patients, which is not a choice. Maybe that is a conservative way thinking also because it makes sense unlike the liberal way of thinking.
