All due respect, but the population density of the area I live is 1000 times your province-- and much greater in other areas in the US. Comparing regulations between the two areas is, at best, ill-informed.

With all due respect I don't think the population was factored in when our Canadian friend made his comments. It is unfortunate here in the US IMHO not because of the population but because of a few inconsiderate people flying them. Of course this is just an opinion and not meant to say I totally disagree with your sentiment as the more the population the higher the number of those that give a c**p less about others that screw it up.

Along with 10 of your closest friends doing the same so they think you are government workers.

FWIW I retired from a city government job so I have first hand knowledge of the FEW that do not work for their pay. Most do have excellent work ethics.

Can't you just get 10/7?

In my case I checked to see any if new software updates are available for the operating system and there are not any. I'm on 10.6.7.

Neat shots, Bill! Zip lining is on my bucket list; since I'm "only" 73 I ought to manage okay! :)

Having not done it before it appears you just sit in a harness and hang on. Should be fairly easy unless you don't have the arm strength to hold your balance. That would be pretty poor health and one I hope i don't experience anytime soon.

If I still lived in Englewood, I'd be down there! Always on my bucket list and now at 77 I'd better find one to ride!
:D :D

There are actually several around the country. Perhaps try google for (zip lines washington state or zip line oregon state). I do know for fact there is one in the Astoria Oregon area.

What is the color temperature of LED's? I've heard that it's close to sunlight, if so, how close? And is there a difference in the temp for LED's used in a flash versus a fixed source? Thanks in advance for the help.

When you purchase the led lamps the box they come in should have the Color Index and Kelvin rating on it. 5000K (kelvin) is considered close to natural daylight where as 3200K would be warm white.

Why do you say his seminars are worthless? I was going to attend one but was away the few days he was in our area.
I wont spend the money if its not worth my time.

I have done the Scott Kelby photo walk .... They are great.

Just offering my opinion and not that of the person who made the comment about worthless.
Everyone sees things a little different. In my case a Kelby seminar would be a waste as I can't get past his stupid jokes and attempts to be funny. You may enjoy it so if the money isn't a big issue go for it and decide on your own. You want to buy a camera and look for opinions. If you take everyones opinion you likely will not buy a camera as they all have supporters and those that dislike. Good luck deciding because ultimately it really is your call and your time.

You are correct to butt in. I keep trying to tell the people in this boys club this is a photography forum. Want something worse...drop into the Chit Chat forum. It reminds me of the daily e-mails I receive from my 88 year old uncle in West Palm Beach.

My apologizes to you and the forum. My original response was related to the OP comments but once my mother was brought into the subject I feel I am justified in responding to such cruel and heartless comments by U know who. And Frankly if you read the entire thread there have many similar comments about the OP rant being somewhat questionable.

in that case sir, when you get home to your kennel, I HOPE YOUR MOTHER BITES YOU...

All doubt about what you are about has been removed. BTW my mother recently passed away so don't get so nasty. It only proves what kind of ass hat immoral, heartless piece of s**t you are.

we all live in two worlds, I canot get upset as much by Christians being beheaded by the screwballs in the Mideast as I can about my dog having a tick to remove.. 'Tis a different world.

We love our dog also but to have less consideration for human life than a tick on your dog speaks volumes. You need those christians praying for you and perhaps an hour or two session with Dr. Phil.

we all have different values, to him, that was important.

My point is this really that important when so many other things truly are? Defend it if you like but in the real world things happen all the time to people we may know or in our communities that this really pales in comparison. A rough spot for sure where aggravation is expected and I do sympathize BUT.

Anyone else out there pissed about Fuji cancelling FP100C instant film. I decided to burn everything I owned with fuji's name on it. Cancelled a camera and torched all my instax film and cameras. Even burned the 2 remaining boxes of FP100C. No sense trying to make them last if I can't replace them without buying overpriced scalpers holdouts. I at least have the paper negative option still left. I'll never buy another Fuji product again

Lord I'd hate to see you when something important happens. :XD:

I can not but if you use the search engine on this site I have no doubt you will come up with plenty to read. Good luck. I'm giving it serious consideration myself.

I know what you mean. Spell Checker seems to have a mind of it's own. Must have been programmed by a politician. Only half right, half the time. It has gotten me more times than I care to think of. Just curious where in Wisconsin. My son-in-law grew up in Green Bay.
