Whatever you paid for the permit, these photos are worth it.

Thanks, Allan! Appreciate the kind words.

Here in Miami I have not been allowed in the past to a couple of places because having a tripod made me a "professional."
I am sure you know professionals frequent those places with their models. Having umbrellas, off camera flash and a big camera surely qualified you as a "professional" photographer.

I would invite them to review my tax return. No revenue from photography. Plenty of expenses, though.

The Japanese Tea Garden (aka the Sunken Gardens) became the Chinese Tea Garden very soon after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and remained that until about 1984-5, when it went back to the original name. It's a lovely place; my1964 Trinity University graduation ceremony was held there.

Great pictures of two very pretty young ladies!

Thanks, and interesting historical note about the gardens!

My wife and I spent the week after Christmas with our daughter and her family in San Antonio. Although the weather was overcast and grey our entire stay, we got a chance to see the Japanese Tea Gardens (although the carved wooden entrance arch says Chinese Tea Garden...). Here are a couple of pictures of my granddaughters using the D850. We had to pay for a photo permit, probably because of the gear (and off camera flash and reflector...). I'm guess iPhone shooters don't pay for a permit, and they were legion.

Nice shot! Still on my bucket list. The little sons of guns fly so quickly with their chattering.

Thanks for the visit and for letting me know what you liked and didn't like Jim. I really appreciate it.

Just to be clear, I liked all of them :) The light on two of them was a little off for me, but the subjects were beautiful. You did a great job, and thanks for sharing!

Nice shots, the download did not work for the first picture ( second and third=fine), all I got was a black rectangular with an x in it!

Thanks for looking! I tried the first and it opened, no problem. Weird.

I like the color of the shots. Makes it look like sunrise or sunset lighting. Your daughter has beautiful eyes! I like all 3, even the goofy one. Also, your camera captures a LOT of detail. Cheers.

Thanks! It was midday and partly sunny, so I had to do something with the light.
