Yes 'something' is watching. I was looking at a specific tripod on several different store sites. Now ads are coming daily for that specific item. Addendum: After posting this, scrolled down and there it is, an ad for the tripod.
I did order the item from B&H and expect delivery this week. I had forgotten about B&H using FedEx. My experience with FedEx has not been good. Just hoping it arrives undamaged and on time. Why such a reputable company like B&H would use FedEx is a mystery. Sounds like Amazon will be my go to from here on in.
So I am looking at an item on Amazon. It states the seller is Adorama. I have never purchased anything from Adorama. Free shipping and free returns via Amazon is a benefit. Would anyone share their experience please. I did a search on Adorama but the posts were old. Thanks.
Yes there are still some excellent brick and mortar camera stores. Murphy's Camera in Louisville, KY was a fantastic find. They have a great 'used' department as well as a large inventory of anything a photographer would want. So cheers to the few brick and mortar stores left!! Happy New Year folks!
Do you think it is possible to attract younger members to UHH? Or is that a hopeless cause? What would it take?
Some junior high and senior high schools offer basic photography classes. My grand-daughter and grand-son started their interest in it because "grammy" does it. Cell phones are a commodity everyone has so toting extra gear isn't necessary or convenient. Unfortunately, I think photography using expensive lenses, etc will become a passed thing. Sharing photos electronically has taken over versus printing. As for the UHH forum itself, who knows. That's just my 2 cents worth. About the member age question: 74.
