Would like your experts opinions on D7000 vs D7100 help me Hedge Hogs.

I have both. I use the 7100 and the 7000 as back up and I like both of them. Also I don't like to change lenses on digital cameras due to dust getting in there, so they each have their own lens and it stays that way.

THIS SHOULD RATTLE YOUR BRAINS A LITTLE

If you ever feel stupid, then just read on. If you've learned to speak fluent English, you must be a genius! This little treatise on the lovely language we share is only for the brave. Peruse at your leisure, English lovers.

Reasons why the English language is so hard to learn:

1) The bandage was wound around the wound.

2) The farm was used to produce produce.

3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.

4) We must polish the Polish furniture.

5) He could lead if he would get the lead out.

6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.

7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present.

8) A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum

9) When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.

10) I did not object to the object.

11) The insurance was invalid for the invalid.

12) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.

13) They were too close to the door to close it.

14) The buck does funny things when the does are present.

15) A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line.

16) To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow. ???

17) The wind was too strong to wind the sail

18) After a number of injections my jaw got number.

19) Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear.

20) I had to subject the subject to a series of tests

21) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?

There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France (Surprise!) Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat.??

Quicksand works slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig. And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham?

If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend. If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it? Is it an odd, or an end?

If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell?

How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out, and in which, an alarm goes off by going on.

English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race, which, of course, is not a race at all. That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.

P.S. - Why doesn't "Buick" rhyme with "quick"?
THIS SHOULD RATTLE YOUR BRAINS A LITTLE br br If ... (show quote)

Cute little piece but other languages have the same types of issues in them as well. Many words in many languages have more than one meaning and more than one spelling also. :)

Don't give up so easy, you can't take it with you.

I know I can't take it with me so I have paid the college tuition for 2 of my Nieces. Paid for many of their Medical /Dental issues. Bought a lot of the clothing for one Niece for her entire 4 years in college. Paid car insurance for one Niece while in college. So the things I have done with my money, improving life for others, will live long beyond my lifetime. This is only a partial list...I could go on and on . . . but I think you get the idea...some things are far more important than just getting another camera . . .

It has been revealed that the new D7200 will finally be announced for the CP+ Show in Japan next month. Also being announced by Nikon will be a new Nikon 1 J5 and AW 130 underwater camera. And a slew of Coolpix models including the L840, P610, P900, S3700, S7000 and S9900.
Alas, no work on the D9300 as of yet.

I already have the D 7000 and the D 7100. I need another camera like a need a hole in the head. Soooooo Nikon has all the money they will ever get from me. Actually, when I bought the D 7100 I decided, that at my age, it would be my last camera.

I just purchased my D7100 with a sigma 18-300. My next addition will be a back packing tripod but knowing nothing about tripods. I need to have some guidelines on what makes one better than another. I would like to spend no more than $200 since I just bought the camera/lens.

Years ago a pro photographer told me that a tripod should be strong enough to support a bowling ball.

The key question here is print quality. And yes, it is certainly possible to get very high quality prints by printing at home. If you want to take advantage of the large variety of excellent fine art papers, home printing will allow you to do so more easily and at a lower price than most commercial printers, who either don't offer many fine art papers and charge a great deal for those papers they do offer. If making prints is an important part of your photography activities, you want larger than 8x10 prints for your camera club, etc. then by all means printing yourself can be a cheaper, more efficient, and better option than using commercial labs.

On the other hand, if all you want to do is print out a double stack of 4x6 vacation snapshots once in a while, with an occasional 8x10 thrown in, commercial printers may better suit your needs.

As to which printer, well that isn't quite so clear, and is to a very large extent subject to the personal experiences and associated brand loyalty the advice giver might have. I use Canon printers in my fine art business; my buddy uses Epson. Anyone would be hard pressed to identify a quantifiable difference between the quality of our prints attributable to the brand of printer we use. Both companies make excellent models that make great prints of 13x19 size.

I can usually tell in my own work. The difference is subtle, maybe like vinyl vs digital music? The DSLR version is usually a little more "crisp", whereas the film version is a little softer in contrast, although still sharp. It's not due to the camera lens (Rolleiflex Planar 2.8), but could be due to the marginal scanner I use (old Epson 2450).

If I were looking at someone else's work, I probably could not tell them apart.

Thank you!!! You gave me the ans I was looking for...some of these other guys were trying to micro mange the whole thing and I was not looking for that. Any 2 anythings are never the same but they are still very comparable

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
