It's been a pleasure reading your posts and viewing your photos! I'm very new to the forum but plan to stick around til I'm buried. Ha! "Buried in photography WORK?!?!" I wish.
Til I'm a goner. :)
Here are a few I've taken very recently. Please feel free to offer tips and advice. These are taken with a used Canon 1D I purchased from craigslist for $200. Happy day!

Hello everybody. :) I'm a nube who recently bought a used Canon 1D and some basic lenses because it's something I've always wanted to do. These were difficult because of the obvious low light and the fact that it's a macro lens held, without a tripod, laying on the ground among the bugs. I was pretty thrilled any turned out at all. I'm using free picasa to edit.
These were taken at Geode State park in SE Iowa.
This was my first time taking these kind of photos. When I go back, I'd like to pack along a blanket and some reflectors or my adjustable light.
