I love, love, love your first 2 waterfalls. Very sharp and no blur. Your El Capitan cliff wall is outstanding.

Thank you for letting me know how much you enjoyed them, Meives. Appreciate your time to visit and comment.

Sometimes the change in plans end up ok. I think it ended up great!
The last photo makes me just a little uneasy. I'm not afraid of heights, just the sudden stop if you misstep.
Thanks for sharing your photos with me.

Yup, most often it just seems to be a means to an end. Beyond the physical ability, I can't imagine the mindset that extreme risk takers possess. Thanks for your visit, Flyerace, and glad you liked them.

Wow! What a time you had, Charmdragon! But these images are really beautiful and well done!

Thanks, Sue. My Mom's words ring in my ear. When I would complain, she would tell me 'Your experience is part of the journey.' Se never looked at things as self-limiting. Thank you for your kind words. Glad you liked them.

Very nice imagery, James. Not surprised the legend lives and is honored in that way. Here's a KY & NY connection... In 1972, we went to Belmont Racetrack in NY (just a couple of blocks from my wife's home). She made her only bet on a 2 yr old horse because she liked its colors...Secretariat. She read up on Secretariat learning that Belmont Racetrack was named in honor of the work of the Belmont family who bred Man-o-War.

Fine set and an interesting backstory, Bob. The set is a broad depiction of the location from negligent care, to psychological predisposition, to repressed fears and ending with a formal appearance of institutionalization...or are they flashbacks from Ward 13?

A very striking series, Vicki. Great presentation with a variety of scenes for viewers to experience and share a pulse of the city.

Very intriguing character portrayal that seems to suggest a transitional quandary caught between forbearance and permission. Judging by the size of the rear building I bet this was a productive place. Great capture.

Love the "long"er exposure in Vernal Falls water flow!

Thank you, dave.speeking. Glad you liked it. My wife suggested that shot to show the contrast of the power of the river flow with the smooth wash of water across the rock. I tried to freeze the action but it also froze the water on the rock. The result was this compromise.

Great series. The download of the climbers is fantastic.

Pleasure to have you visit, AuntieM. Glad you enjoyed them. Naturally you have a sense of some of the scenes ahead of your visit, but capturing an image of a climber was one of the goals on my shot list. To find four climbers together was a plus. With the aid of binoculars we were able to watch the lowest climber swing from the foot of the boot over to the location you see him in the image. Amazing to see live in person.

Nature's cathedral! Great captures!

Well put, phv. Thanks for looking in, and your perspective. Glad you liked them.

As John Muir said...'Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.'

Alert: This may be a trap...Nanookians revealed as repatriated western Canadiens with recent plans to add a fleet of battleships. But this fleet won't exist until all ships are completed for another decade. The threat is a ruse to lure refurbished witches and hack into the Broomstick Code Programming which will be replicated in mass production for a shadow mission 'sweep' along the dark side of the Perseid meteors in August. They intend to reprogram all satellites to destroy the Ministry thereby deferring blame globally while Nanookians are resting in full view of Sarah Palin. Madame P must be contacted to run in stealth mode to employ an electric force field overload destroying their manufacturing capacity. (Ed. Note: Have your mop ready as she will return fully enervated and glowing with more life in her eyes than is showing now.)

Seen them before but not as good as yours! Thanks!

Outback, very glad to have you visit. Your generous words are much appreciated! We were fortunate to have images and memories that would normally not be possible this late in the season due to a lack of water.

Nice series, Charmdragon. Sorry you had so many misadventures, but at least you came out smiling! Makes it all worthwhile.

Good of you to drop by Randy. For our last vacation out west we scheduled a limo at 4 AM - which never showed up. So we like to think these were just divergent paths to vacation rapture. Appreciate hearing you like them as always.
