Thanks for getting the thread moving. Your rendition is a definite improvement.

Well, I don't know about that, but thanks! I rather liked the picture as it was.

Yes, but are there any other images of these people on their facebook page? They really could look like this!
That is too funny. I hope they got a refund.

I framed my oil painting palette once. It met all the requirements of an artistic oil painting. No one was amused or edified.

I think it is great! The body, face and even the water droplets are so sharp that the wingtips don't disrupt the image. (I also read somewhere that BIF often do have motion blur and it is completely acceptable and expected.)
Nice Job!

I have seen a lot of 'art' that I hate and a lot of 'junk' that I love. Surround yourself with things you love and your world will be a more beautiful place. (Just don't insist that everyone around you agree with your tastes!)

Lessons Learned and thank goodness for the kindness of strangers. I always have a couple of Ziploc bags in my purse, backpack, or camera bag (whichever I happen to be toting at the time). I roll them into flat tubes (you can't fold the zipper part) and keep them either in an extra pocket or in the bottom of the bag.
